GREAT VALUE!!
- Pros: Awsome graphics. i bought it for a better gaming rig than my desktop, and for internet access using my wireless broadband card. remarkable battery life.
- Cons: It wont shutdown completely on its own. i have to hold the button down till it shuts off in order for it to reboot properly. the keyboard is kinda cramped. its hard to hit the Ctrl button while gaming but its nothing major. free programs are great but it comes with too much junk like backup utilities and burners and some useless stuff. although comes with Norton AV and a free serial. slow harddrive but it conserves electricity very wqell
- Other Thoughts: I highly recomend to anyone with a budget. 2 gigs of mem. 512 mb graphics lush widescreen whats not to like. the case has a bluetooh button on the front, but has no bluetooth, not sure why, but maybe other modles do withat use the same case. BUY IT. very happy. shipping was WAY too long. 6 days UPS and then another week to get thru the bases mail sorting facility.
good machine, good value
- Pros: It boots fast, low load times. Handles games and business apps easily. Very little 'add-on' junk software that most companies seem obligated to throw in to bog down a system. Excellent specs, especially for the price. Very stable machine... Took it to Iraq and had no problems.
- Cons: There's only a few little things about this system, but nothing that should make one aviod it. Like another review said, there's no bluetooth in this model even though there is a switch for it (used on another model that uses the same shell). FAT32 partitions on the drive, but why eople complain about that I have no idea.
- Other Thoughts: I thought I was taking a chance with Acer, I hadn't even used one of their systems in years. I wasn't disappointed. This is a very nice system that I would recommend for friends.
Excellent Buy
- Pros: Excellent Performance/Price ratio. T2500 processor with 2Gb memory plus an ATI-1400 video card - spec for spec - most competitors I checked could only just reach 2000 USD. Sleek and attractive design. Available on newegg :)
- Cons: Built-in speakers have too much heights - suggest getting a portable pair or headphones.
- Other Thoughts: System is smooth and stable - runs applications for dvds/videos and engineering as well as games like COD2 and BIA - all without a hitch. No crashes.
