- Pros: Nice laptop for the price. It does what I intended for it to do.
- Cons: Battery life is not very good at all...
- Other Thoughts: Wish you could by an 8-12 cell battery as a replacement/backup.
Good Laptop
- Pros: It works. No problems. Its faster than my desktop. No complainta of any kind. I would definitely buy another. The battery lasts two hours; more than enough for what we do, but we ususally just leave it plugged in. The wireless was a no-brainer and works beautifully. This is a LOT of computer for the money!!
- Cons: The speakers are tinny but aren't they all on laptops?
- Other Thoughts: We don't play games. We only use it for business. It plays DVDs beautifully. It never leaves the living room, which is the warmest room in the house. The office is the clodest room in the house so be bought the laptop so we could pay our bills and use the internet in the living room. We are extremely satisfied!!
Poor! Horrible!!!! Please dont waste your money!
- Pros: Cheap, big screen, decent hard drive. expandable to 2gb memory!
- Cons: Battery life is worst ever. Bought this for my girlfriend for college. Battery wont even last 1 1/2 hours without needing to be recharged.
You cant even watch a full length movie without needing a wall plug to charge.
Slow recharge. One speaker went out within 2 months. Disc drive will randomly shut down laptop with certian copied discs. Disc drive makes bad scratching sounds once and a while!
Do your homework....battery is a 2000Mah rating. My cell phone has a 1400Mah battery as an optional upgrade. My cell phone has a battery comparable to this laptops!

Installed the best laptop monitoring software to extend battery life and increase performance when plugged in. This poor laptop just cant do anything helpful for todays students or even business professionals!
Worst part of all....Acer does not make a replacement battery (for spare or backup). There is no 12-cell upgrade which 90% of laptop manufacturers offer.
Savings is not always worth it! I have to sell this laptop with a 3 year warrenty just to recoupe some money to cover the cost of the replacement laptop I just bought.
DOnt waste your money or time! Please trust my review. 4 month old laptop and its useless!!!!
I upgraded to a Gateway yesterday. 4800Mah battery and have a 6800Mah 12-cell on its way from Gateway. 2-3.5 times bigger battery and only cost $100.00 more than this one from Best Buy
