1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy HP

Pros: Again, its a fast laptop, and a sleek design.

Cons: Update on my laptop that has been gone for over two months: still getting the run-around.

Other Thoughts: I have given up on HP. Don't buy from them... again, I made that mistake for you. Their customer service is absolutely horrible: most likely the worst I've seen. Buy something else, like a Dell.

2 out of 5 eggsGood laptop, bad service

Pros: Very fast, nice look to it.

Cons: Horrible customer service. So horrible that it justifies the 2 eggs.

Other Thoughts: Got this laptop two months ago in replacement of my older HP Laptop. I bought it for the extra horsepower needed to run some developement software at school. Three days after I got it, it died. Sent it in with a promise of getting it back in 3-5 business days. Two months later, I still don't have it, and the tech support is giving me the run-arround. Don't believe HP's customer service awards, I made that mistake for you.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I didnt buy this laptop form new egg but my last few transation was smooth and painless even return is a less hassel and if newegg has stuff that are on sale you get a better deal than outside retailer most of the time (price might even beat the popular auction site). Check with newegg B4 going for a price hunt.

Cons: Correction on my last review. the Laptop has a Integrated Card

Other Thoughts: I'm an egghead from now on :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop could be better

Pros: Wireless. Discreat Graphic card. But I dont know If I can upgrade the card and dont want to ruin the warranty yet by taking the card out for a better one. Well, compare to the other laptop at the same price range, HP has a nicer design and layout. Large mousepad and a button above the mousepad to turn it off for when you're typing which is very usefull (most laptop don't have this option!). I like the volume control button up top if only the beeping sound a little lower. Good keyboard pressure (some laptop keyboard/button has either too soft or too hard) I like mine just right :)

Cons: A friend of mine bought a HP brand laptop (not this one) and only lasted for exactly 2 years and he only use them for web, programing and reading. But I hope this will last longer than 2 years for the money I spend it on. Battery only lasted about 1hr 45min with a USB hard drive plug-in to watch movie. Well, none of the laptop battery seem to be any good until you upgrade your battery to a 12cell or something better. Only 2 USB, I need 3+. No Firewire (dont think I needed but extra = better)NOT GREAT ON GAMMING BUT CAN HANDLE VERY FEW OF TODAY GAME LIKE: GUILDWARS, AGES OF EMPIRE III, SIMS, ETC...

Other Thoughts: Worth the money. Great for school and work well on Photoshop CS/Illustrator and simple 3D program (might be able to handle Maya or 3ds-max, but haven't try that yet). Portable and wights about a Geometry Math book. LOL!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent laptop

Pros: I have had an IBM T-30 for almost 4.5 years, and it just died on me like a month ago...but this HP Pavilion has been keeping in its footsteps. It's designed as an ultimate desktop pc, but in the body of a laptop. Lightweight, fast and efficient. 64 bit turion processor is lightning fast.

Cons: Battery life could be longer, but a great trade off nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to get the best laptop for a reasonable price, the HP Pavilion dv6000 is probably, dollar for dollar, the best laptop out there.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice laptop, basic desktop replacement

Pros: Big Screen; full size keyboard; 1gb ram; Wifi; DVD burner; nvidia video; fast cpu have not had any problems during the first week of owning it.

Cons: Have to create recovery discs (18 cds or 3 dvd); 1.5 hour battery life; HP preloaded software (uninstall asap); hdd partitioned: 1 main ntfs and second recovery partition

Other Thoughts: big heave stable desktop replacement. dual core, 1gb ram, 100 gb hdd and good graphics. a bargain. would buy another one if needed.
