Pros: Affordable laptop with plenty of features. Runs very clean and a good battery life. Built in camera and microphone.

Cons: Runs a little noisy when hard drive is engaged but that is not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Will purchase another for family member.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty darn happy

Pros: Wireless works well, processor and memory are adequate (although adding 512mb of RAM wouldn't hurt), built in webcam and mic are awesome (work great with Skype), battery life is pretty good (about 3.5 hours with wireless on, 4 with it off). Other featurs like tv-out and built in memory card reader are sweet too.

Cons: 60gb is a little small for a hard drive if you have alot of digital media like me. The fan is loud at first but ASUS has released a BIOS update which really helps. As mentioned before, the volume controls are located on the F10-F12 keys so you have to open the screen to get at them. Max 1024x768 resolution.

Other Thoughts: The cons are really small compared to the features, and the price is quite reasonable. Overall I'm thrilled with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus A3Ac

Pros: Very nice laptop. This is my 4th laptop but my first Asus. For the price this is the best one. Since I carry it around everyday I wanted stronger frame (I broke my last Toshiba's screen) This one has a better outside screen cover. I added an extra 512 of ram and I love the performance. The buitin Cam works well. This is a solid setup and good looking too.

Cons: I like my volume botton to be on the outside. On this one uses the Fn + F10 key, just a matter of preference I guess. Beside this after 2 months of use I love it. It can get a little warm in the middle if you use it on your lap.

Other Thoughts: Looks nice, solid setup, little "out of the box software junk". For me the wireless config was very easy setup. I use this for CAD and photo touch up when I am on the road and with the extra 512 ram keeps up with my office computer. I had no dead pixels on mine, love that. Battery life is Okay. Under heavy load I am still getting 2+ hours. I had 2 Tosh and 1 HP so I was a Little afraid of Asus since I never tried there laptop. I do not regret it one second.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat notebook

Pros: Solid specs for a great price, Pentium instead of Celeron, good amount of RAM and a decent sized hard drive. Build quality is great, and neat extra features. Also, minimal amount of bundled software unlike others like HP.

Cons: Not really too much of a con, but the hard drive speed is 4200 RPM where notebook standard is 5400 RPM. The only time it's noticeable is when transfering LARGE (500MB+) files, though it does save battery power.

Other Thoughts: Asus has great products, I'd definitely buy most anything they made assuming the price was competitive.

Pros: Simple, trouble-free set-up. Perfect size and weight for my needs. Excellent, sharp screen.
Very desirable given the price.

Cons: None found so far.

Other Thoughts: I may be the first Asus laptop owner on the East coast: I feel I am breaking ground for a great name.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Notebook

Pros: I love the notebook, it has a nice style to go along with a speedy cpu. Wireless range is great.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: A huge reason why I chose this notebook is because I have never been let down by ASUS. I think their quality is outstanding, my PC has an ASUS motherboard that has been rock solid for a couple years now. Great product ASUS!
