Pros: I am loving this laptop! Even after hearing all the horror stories about Vista, this thing runs flawlessly. The laptop is put together extremely well, very sturdy, and crisp screen. The backpack and optical mouse was a very nice addition to this package. This thing looks sweet as well. I read some reviews complaining about the FAT 32 hardrive partitions, so what! I cant tell a difference at all. I left everything factory on this thing and its smoking hot.

Cons: None, if your looking for a great gaming laptop you can take anywhere then look no further, you have found it here.

Other Thoughts: I bought this laptop so my girlfriend could play World of Warcraft with me, and so i could take on my work trips. I have other games installed on it, all with maxxed out settings and it doesnt hiccup at all. I thought i was spending to much on this thing but after getting it and looking at all i got, it was well worth what i paid. I was a little worried about this thing being shipped in its original box only, so i was pleasantly surprised to see NEWEGG had actually packed this in a bigger box to ship it, unlike a 21 inch flat panel i bought a few months ago.

Pros: i am /extremely/ pleased with this gaming-class notebook. solid feel, looks great and it really performs. i've only played battlefield 2142 and world of warcraft but both look amazing at full video quality. i was going to purchase a dell but for the same price (actually a few dollars less) i got this machine that's spec-for-spec better. got it overnight too!

Cons: standard laptop speakers. but with the built in bluetooth, i use a set of wireless stereo headphones. the warranty is only two-year parts/labor where the dell i was looking into had three year w/ accidental damage. i doubt asus will cover a drop -- although i cannot confirm nor deny that.

Other Thoughts: you can't go wrong with these specs. i trust asus for my desktop machine -- i see no reason not to believe this laptop won't perform on that higher standard. so far it passes with flying colors.

Pros: The Asus G1 is by far the best laptop I know of for the $2,000 and below price range. With all the components, it would cost you $1,000 for other brands IMO. It plays every high end game I've got, including high graphics beasts like BioShock.

This laptop now stands more powerful than my desktop, which makes me realize, I need to build a better PC just to keep up with this thing.

Cons: Battery life is horrible. Mine gets to maybe 100 minutes or so. I usually tug my power cord everywhere because of that.

Also the part of the laptop right below the keyboard is made of a material that is a magnet for fingerprints. I have no clue why Asus missed something so obvious.

Other Thoughts: This is a must buy for serious gamers who don't want to spend $3000 for a gaming laptop.

ASUS, can't go wrong

Pros: ASUS always makes great products. They use the best transistors and circuit boards so you are getting top quality merchandise.

Cons: Vista is a difficult to get a grasp on. I had trouble getting my computer to not shut off or go to sleep after some time. I like to leave mine running and on all the time because I have to take call and may need it in the middle of the night. Also, if left on, the green lights on the side sometimes flash all night long.

Other Thoughts: Great power and speed. Vista does have compatibility issues with a lot of software. But in the end, you can never go wrong with getting an ASUS product. This makes my second laptop from ASUS and about the 40th piece of ASUS products.

Pros: I have owned this laptop for about 4 months now, and absolutely love it. Especially for the price, it outperforms all other laptops like it. The graphics are exhilirating, battery life outstanding, and protability/durability relieving. I would reccomend this product to anyone who is serious about media, gaming, or just loves a high quality laptop. Also, as usual, Newegg got it processed and delivered very quickly and smoothly.

Cons: No major cons. If anything, they should rethink where the headphone jack is, or label it so that it can be found in the dark, but that is no biggie.

Other Thoughts: One of, if not, the best deals you can find for a high performance laptop.
