Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (parts): 90 days
Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (labor): 90 days
Cons: Owned this recertified product for 7 months and had a failure (short) develop on the power cord. Contacted Asus and they indicated that there was a 90 day warranty and they would not cover the short. Use caution when buying sub par products from Asus.

Rating: 1/5Nice except for HDD
Pros: Nice little computer, fast enough except for the harddrive. Good battery life, averages around 5-6 hours.
Cons: Hard drive died just three months out of warranty, irrecoverable hardware failure. Lost all my homework. Couldn't recover anything, using any Live OS.
Other Thoughts: Was not "up to factory specifications". If you buy recertified, you will need an extended warranty.

Rating: 5/5Surpassed my expectations
Pros: I wanted to wait a few months to review this item due to the short warranty period and comments in some other reviews.
I've had it over 5 months now and it continues to work great (for a netbook). As many others have pointed out, don't expect laptop performance, but for basic uses it's wonderful. Small size, great battery life, and quick enough for me.
Cons: Screen cuts off content at the bottom on some websites/programs.
Other Thoughts: When I received mine it appeared to be in brand new condition. The box had been previously opened, but I think it was to upgrade the battery from a 3-cell to a 6-cell as the battery label had been changed as well.
Not the most current processor, but that is not a limitation based on its performance.
Great to use while traveling

Rating: 1/5slow and not going to last long
Pros: small format, low weight
Cons: System was way too slow, could barely pull down and play a HulU video. I wish I had NOT purchased this product. Then after getting software loaded, I noticed that the power plug would not seat fully. The power plug stuck out 3-4mm from the units body. The plug is 2-3 mm in diameter. This was a failure waiting to happen. If the netbook was handled with the power plug in this position, it would only be a matter of time before it died and turned into an expensive piece of junk

Rating: 4/5Recertified Eee PC 1005HAB
Pros: Nice little computer for the buck. Installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix as soon as I opened the box, and everything worked perfectly. Runs pretty well, and can handle all kinds of basic browsing, watching youtube videos, etc.
Screen is a decent size, and I like the keyboard better than most netbooks I've tried. Overall, for $200 + shipping, it's a good computer for its intended purpose.
Cons: If you're looking for a desktop replacement, obviously look elsewhere. This computer isn't a great multitasker, and I would strongly consider getting a 2GB SoDimm to double the memory.

Pros: Wonderful value for the price.
Cons: Great deals don't last forever. Don't delay on refurbished.
Other Thoughts: I would have written a longer positive review.

Rating: 5/5Amazing little machine
Pros: Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect size, Nicely laid out keyboard. Great battery life. Perfect for....the "OTHER" operating system.
Asus gives you 500 gigs free web storage...
Cons: None that I can think off hand. The "clicker" seems cheap compared to a friend of mines. The USB ports are a little snug but it's not really a con. Accidentally, popped a USB drive into the eithernet port. I don't use it anyways.
Other Thoughts: Bought a 2 gig stick with this. So 250 shipped to me. I went from an Asus G71 to this little thing. Huge difference!
Why do people rip on these things and say "they suck cuz they dont play games". Well, obviously. They're made for searching the net and perhaps doing some word and picture viewing.
