5 out of 5 eggsThis is awesome!

Pros: I got mine from a friend who ordered 2 by accident, but let me just say, compared to the stock Intel hs this one is amazing! I have an older P4 478 but installed this about 4 months ago and my mb temp on this is about 92* and the cpu is about 103*. with the Intel hs i was getting mb 115 & cpu 130. I've also noticed that my system runs a bit more stable & doesn't hang as much.

Cons: installation instructions are a little confusing for the 478 chipset, & the fan is kinda loud!(I wouldn't recommend sleeping in the same room)

no cons with the performance of the device

Other Thoughts: I am a system builder I've installed this heatsink on all of the Core 2 Duo's & Quads I've built since I got mine.

4 out of 5 eggsLoud

Pros: Keeps the CPU cool. Can control the speed.

Cons: I didn't think it was going to hide the rest of the motherboard. Plugged it in for the first time, purred like a jet engine.

Other Thoughts: Had to turn the RPM way down. Still works though. It's a little quieter.

4 out of 5 eggsCold!!!!

Pros: It not only keeps the CPU P4 2.93GHZ under 90 degrees F, It also keeps the case internal temperature down.

Cons: It's massive and heavy. It's also on the loud side.

Other Thoughts: Got it on a good deal from Newegg with free delivery!

5 out of 5 eggsGood looking!

Pros: All copper construction makes this a great cooler! PWM fan connection a plus too!

Cons: The sticker on the bottom of the surface of the contact area is difficult to remove. Have to remove motherboard to mount on most systems.

Other Thoughts: Once the goo from the sticker was off, it lapped easily and polished nicely! Arctic Silver 5 does a lot better than the generic thermal paste provided. Four pin PWM connection on motherboard is a necessary to control speeds/temps. PWM must be enabled in the BIOS. My Epox EP-8NPASLI does a fine job controlling the fan speeds and temps on my Athlon 64 3400 clawhammer. If you don't have a four pin PWM connection, you may have to buy another 92mm fan with a regular three pin fan connection to get decent cooling with this.

2 out of 5 eggsunimpressed

Pros: none

Cons: this fan's rpms are not controllable by my motherboard. yes i have a 4 pim pwm fan controller. yes the stock fan was controllable by my motherboard. this fan runs only at 1400 rpm and leaves my cpu zone temp around 65 idle and 70+ under load. intel d915pbl.

Other Thoughts: you can plug the 4 pin into a 3pin power cable and take a piece of wire and jump the pwm female to the 12v+ and the fan will run at 100% rpms all the time. drops temp considerably, but it's soooo loud.

5 out of 5 eggsthe best

Pros: this is probably the best CPU cooler u can buy when used with a CPU vent intake. either a fan or just simple ducting. the ducting in my case rests right ontop of the fan grill, and allows endless amounts of cool air directly from the outside. im 100% sure that if not for the ducting, my temps wouldnt be as good as they are, so if ur case has a CPU duct/fan, this is quite possibly ur best option in terms of cooling ur cpu. BUY IT!

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: one of these days i might flip the fan, so it actually sucks air thru the heatsink n exhausts it out of the ducting. it probably wont cool as well but i just wanna try it n c what the results will be.

5 out of 5 eggsWas impressed

Pros: It certainly did the trick! Cooled better than anything else I had around. I'm going to be trying other Cooler Master products as well. Installed nicely, and even for its weight and such it's pretty secure. Just take it off before your ship your PC anywhere.

Cons: Weight. However, all that weight is all that copper. All that copper is a good thing: more heat distribution. Think about it.

My friend had one, and the fan started slowing down. May have been a MB problem though. It still kept the 3.4ghz Prescott processor cool though, so that says something about the effectiveness of the heatsink by itself.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat all around heatsink

Pros: Great performer. Heaviest heatsink I have ever owned however... I thought my case was going to tip over with this thing in there!

Cons: No cons for this product. Works great in every aspect of what it is suppose to do.

Other Thoughts: Better buy a 4pin to a 3pin converter.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Kept my OC'd AMD 64 4000+ around 27-28 idle and never above 35 at full load even after a few hours after i installed a 92mm Vantec Tornado (110.5cfm at 4800rpm compared to 64.19cfm stock). Now that i have a FX-60, OC'd it idles at 37-38 and full load around 39-41.

Cons: stock fan uses a 4 pin connector. The way it clips on to the providing mount is somewhat awkward where the clip likes to slip off and also likes to bend, but once it is on, it holds very well.

Other Thoughts: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60, Abit KN8-SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS, 2x 7600gs 512mb SLI enabled, Vista Ultimate

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan!

Pros: I love my fan. Looks great and runs cool.

Cons: None that I can think of for my application. May be a little large for some installations, but I had no problems in Cooler Master Wave and Thermaltake Bach cases.
