A little loud and inconvenient
- Pros: Seems to blow air thru fins.
- Cons: This cooler makes removing CPU a problem because backing plate which is on other side of motherboard falls off when fan is removed. This will require you to remove motherboard to re-install CPU fan.
Works great! .....with some work
- Pros: Small size, fits well in compact spaces. Quiet Fan
- Cons: Mating surface of heatsink was machined very rough.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this heatsink and slapped it on my P4D 840 which was overheating w/ the stock cooler on 80+ degree ambient days. At first I was extremely dissappointed as the temperature was hardly any better. Then I took it off and realized just how horrible of a surface the processor sat against. I took some 800 and then some 1500 grit sandpaper and sanded the base of the heatsink smooth. Dropped my idle temps from 55 to around 42, and my load temps are now in the 50-53 range.
Great Cooling (TBOOS)
- Pros: Works as advertised. Keeps my P-930D at 28C idle, 42C full load. Replaced stock HSF that was running 45C idle, to 75C loaded.
- Cons: The installation directions that come with the HSF do not explain the care needed when tightening the spring loaded fasteners. Fan seems to be pretty slow and intermittent to me should be able to get up to about 1800 RPM but does not.
- Other Thoughts: I was skeptical when I received this HSF, but now I want to get another one and there out of stock. You will be surprised how this thing really works lame fan and all. I have a 94Y chipset not the cool 95 that NE had in stock last month, so I consider myself lucky to have gotten a good 930D.

Introduction
Thermaltake continues to bring innovative solutions to CPU cooling challenges. The CL-P0092 "Silent 775" combines multiple features for optimal cooling of high-powered CPUs. The iridescent fan moves an impressive 43CFM of cooling air. Its funneled shroud creates a higher pressure to increase cooling. The mounting bracket on the cooler accepts other 90mm funneled fans as well as 80mm fans for maximum flexibility for your modding needs.
The base of the cooler is made of copper for optimal thermal conductivity as it rests directly against the chip's heat spreader to draw away damaging excess heat. Two seamlessly soldered heatpipes rise from the base to penetrate the aluminum cooling fin array above for maximum heat transfer and dissipation.
The Silent 775 easily mounts without tools by using spring screws and includes a safety back plate to protect the motherboard from weight related stress fractures. The Silent 775 is specifically designed to efficiently cool Intel Socket LGA775 processors.
