not bad cooling but Wth
- Pros: i have this and one other rad cooling my computer, its not bad i have this cooling the water coming from the CPU(Q6600@3.4) to my ATi 3870 (Full koolance water block) and without the rad the card was getting to 49C with is it now Maxes at 39C!
- Cons: As Said before no Fan BUT!!!
- Other Thoughts: Call newegg they will give you a new fan nomatter the cost (they gave me a 20$ fan :) )
As Noted ** Radiator Only **
- Pros: Fits inside my case where I needed it to fit (P180). A pair should cool just slightly less that a MCR220. The second best line of radiators available, with the first place brand being over twice the cost, so first place bang for the buck.
- Cons: None with the Product. The photos on this item need to be corrected! The price on this item is on par for the radiator/fan as shown so unless you read the reviews, people are going to be rightfully disappointed.
- Other Thoughts: I knew I wasn't getting a fan but ordered anyway as it wasn't worth the hassle to order the radiator/fan combo from another retailer. The volume discount on a second Scythe S-FLEX fan covered most of the difference. The bigger brother to this unit (MCR220) is currently only a dollar more. I highly recommend you order it unless you must a single fan sized rad. I have the MCR220 on another computer as part of the Apex GT kit so I know the MCR line works well whether single/dual/triple fan.
Better products out there
- Pros: as far as 120 mm radiators go, small form factor (don't gripe about how this doesn't fit in your case, it's made to fit 120 mm fans, look at the picture, it's slightly bigger than 120mm)
- Cons: does NOT come with the barbs necessary, but you can usually get that at any old hardware store. the fan pictured with it also does NOT come with it, but that's alright, it'd probably suck worse than the ones you can get elsewhere on newegg for fairly cheap.
- Other Thoughts: apparently this thing just takes coolant in one side and out the other, which, unless i'm mistaken, is a uniquely lousey way to shed heat. other systems seem to have complicated inner-workings tha maximize heat loss, including those that are cheaper and prettier (though usually bigger). but if you went out of your way to get this product, you probably know what your doing, so good luck.
