So, you don't like the flimsy aluminum strips on most memory module heatsinks? Then use Thermaltake's A1978 copper heatsink kit. It's 8 individual heatsinks with 3M thermal adhesive to attach them to the individual RAM chips. Of course they can also be used on MOSFETs or any other chipsets you want to keep cool.

Pros: Keeps the RAM nice and cool, allows for bigger OCs on my 7600GT.

Cons: These won't work on my cat. I put one on top of him, but he didn't get cooler, he just got angrier.

Other Thoughts: DON'T PUT THEM ON YOUR CAT!

Stick 'em Everywhere!

Pros: Small size so I used them to stick on any chips that my or may not need cooling... RAID controller, onboard sound.. forehead.. etc. Warning.. it gets addictive.

Cons: Originally bought the pretty blue aluminium ones.. but these are no longer sold by newegg.

Pros: The crummy heat transfer tape comes off easily.

Cons: Too expensive.

Not an efficient design. You can make something better with a Dremil tool and some old heatsink stock.

Bottoms of heat sinks not completely flat...they have a high spot in the center. Took me about 5 minutes per heatsink to sand them flat with 140grit sandpaper...about another minute each with 600 grit to make it perfect...not very convinient for something that I bought to save time.

Other Thoughts: At least there is no Thermaltake fan to burn out.

Pros: These are great if you use them as intended.

Cons: They don't fit your video card cause their not supposed to.

Other Thoughts: Running dual channel (spacing) these allowed an extra 118mhz. With a fan nearby of course.

Pros: Cheap, quality, perform well.

Other Thoughts: I used them on my volt modded 7900GT and they keep the ram very cool with my zalman vf700 blowing on them. Thermal tape stuck rock hard.
