5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU Cooler

Pros: You can only hear it when the computer is under load. It isn't even that loud when at it's highest speed.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsIts alright.

Pros: Really cool design. Works pretty good for a fan cooler.

Cons: The fan speed controller is an external mount that you have to stick to the side of the case. The wires for that fan controller are colored so they really stand out if you mount it to the side of your case. If you decide to go without the fan controller then the fan stays at full blast which is pretty loud. The fan controller itself is also pretty cheap (only a small dimmer knob).

Other Thoughts: For the price, this fan controller isn't to bad. Was a good stepping stone before going to a liquid cooling system for my cpu. Just wish that it came with a 4 pin connector so I could connect that straight to the mother board and control the fan speed with software rather than having an external knob that stands out like a sore thumb.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat fan while it lasted

Pros: The fan was quiet, looked nice, and provided great cooling ~40C-~50C under load on a stock 965 Phenom II x4

Cons: Was very hard to attach to my AM3+ board. Construction of heatsink plus configuration of my motherboard made it very difficult for me to put on. When I went to clean it I found it impossible for me to get off (without putting myself in danger of breaking anything) without taking off the whole back plate.

This lead me to not cleaning it as well as I should have. This in turn made dust build up where I did not see it. The fan broke off of it's axle. Luckily I kept my stock cooler and was able to replace it when It broke.

Other Thoughts: Had it for around 4 years. It was a great cooler. It didn't look like the dust was obstructing it at all when I ripped the broken unit off, but I can't be sure so I'm going to attest it's breakage to my own neglect. Great cooler while it lasted, besides the difficulty of installing and removing it.

2 out of 5 eggsExcellent Heat Sink, Super Quiet

Pros: *Super Quiet
*Keeps my i5 below 30ºC even without a working fan
*Only had to RMA it once

Cons: *The fan doesn't actually work
*The heatsink blades are so sharp they can lacerate your hand before you know what's happening.

Other Thoughts: Get this cooler, install it. Not super happy with the Intel mounting, it lets it rotate on the CPU a little bit. Get the fan cord from it's convenient location INSIDE the heatsink and hook that up to motherboard. Fan doesn't run. If I had to guess I'd say one of the wires got damaged in pulling the cord out of its resting spot. The next one came the same way, but I handled that one with baby gloves so it appears to be running alright.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Unknown

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: I should have paid more attention to all the DOA reviews Q4 of 2014. Turned out to be terrible waste of money to have a useless hunk of metal shipped to me (overnight option even) and then have to pay another shipping charge just to get about half of my total investment back.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsno better then stock

Pros: it works...kinda...sorta, cool lookin I guess

Cons: I mean it works in the sence the cpu doesnt overheat but nearly 50 bucks for possibly a degree is not even close to worth it. maybe if I give it a chance to settle it might improve but I doubt it. I installed my stock cooler mostly because this is a pain if you try to install it the right way but I also wanted to see if there was a real difference. my stock cooler at idle sat at a steady 32 Celsius at idle 55ish with a load and as I monitor this thing its sittin right around 30 31ish. if you want to overclock just water cool, ah just raised to 32, literaly no load other then the monitor program.

5 out of 5 eggsCorrected review

Pros: Keeps my FX4300 cooler than my I7 liquid cooling unit on another rig. The AMD FX4300 idles at an unbelievable 9c and peaks out at at a whopping 35c. Well that's what "Speccy" says. BIOS says 11c at idle.

Cons: It's heavy!

Other Thoughts: I've had this cooler for 5+ years and just installed it...I never got around to using it until recently. I mounted it horizontally as it's heavy. I just bought a CNPS9700 and cant wait to use it.
