4 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Pros: great it keeps my quad(intel Q6600) in the 30sC normally it is quiet my case fans are much louder then it

Cons: fins are very soft and easy to bend

Other Thoughts: love this although there is not much difference between the silent and over clock mode the fan is only slightly faster

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for silent server/workstation

Pros: It's a very silent heatsink & fan. Rated at 18dB it's actually much quieter than other ~18dB cooling systems, probably because the fan is sandwitched within two tall columns of half-circular fin slices. Very good design for efficient heat dissipation and silent operation.

Also it's much smaller than other "silent" heatsink & fans, which are usually 120mm across. The footprint of this thing is no bigger than the bracket around an AM2 socket. It's a bit tall but as long as your case has ~12cm room above the MB it will fit. It's also quite easy to install.

Cons: It's probably not a great fan for overclocking. The high (overclock) speed grade reduces about 20% temperature delta (against ambient), but also is quite much nosier.

Other Thoughts: If you're like me who does not overclock but wants a quality, low-cost heatsink & fan for silent server/workstation operation, this is the one you want to look at. I tried comparable cooling solutions from 3 other brands (Thermaltake, Zalman, Scythe) and none works as well as this one (some are too big/hard to install, some are just too much nosier than their ratings).

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Heat Killer

Pros: Quiet cooling. Keep my HTPC STONE COLD.
Switch to control fan speed
@ low speeds you would never now it there. 31C idle 35 load
No prime time testing yet.

Cons: Loud when you turn it up. Cooling only reduced by 5 degrees

Other Thoughts: Internal fan control swithch would be annoying if you have to open the case an 3pin to 4pin adapter would be better

4 out of 5 eggsSharks OK

Pros: Easy to install. High quality K8 clip. Cool look. Heat sink has lots of cooling fins.

Cons: Needed more cooling power. Higher cfm fan may increase cooling power. Don't know whether I can find one thin enough.

Other Thoughts: Lets face it cooling is number 1 priority. Fit/quality right there also. I think if the fan had more cfm it might increase cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Heatsink

Pros: Nice heatsink, very quiet and very cool.

Cons: The shipping is pretty expensive.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice heatsink, but I think the shipping cost makes it hardly worth the buy. Maybe if it was one day shipping instead of three I'd rate it higher.
