The Gigabyte LED 3D Rocket II Cooler works flawlessly with the Intel Pentium D, Pentium 4, Core Duo, and Extreme Editions. The AMD AM2, Athlon FX, 64, and 64 X 2 systems are all compatible with this brilliantly styled cooler, as well, giving it universal appeal. The massive 8-pipe aluminum heatsink, featuring a solid copper base, and hefty 92mm fan, effortlessly whisk heat safely away from your system. The fan spins quietly, producing a scant 16dB of sound @ 1500 RPM, and revs up to 3,000 RPM during peak gaming excitement. Pros: Durable, works especially well with its counter part Gigabyte mobo. Not flimsy. Keeps the AM2 nice and cool even without the case fans running (no load).
Cons: It's about 5 1/2" tall, if you have a side mounted air tunnel on your case be prepared to remove it and modify.
Other Thoughts: On my Apevia case I removed the tunnel but kept the metal ring and filter, went out and bought stainless steel alen head bolts and nuts with the nylon in them so they will not come loose, don't need lock washes that way which would gouge the plexi- glass. Hope this helps the next person.

Pros: excellent cooling,2 fans on HS,simple install in AM2 board, price to performance(a few months ago and on current competitor websites this is sold for $$ more, you can't beat this deal from newegg). added led and manual fan control are a bonus.
Cons: big unit, noise on high
Other Thoughts: amd x2 4200+ and it dropped it 10*c on both idle and load from 47-57 to 37 to 47 immediately, thermal paste hasn't even set. fit easily on asus m2n32 sli deluxe, but needed every mm of rosewill case minus vent tube. using qfan in bios. not loud at all. Ran GRAW on optimal qfan setting for 30 min,no problems, quiter than amd stock. I think this has high end rpm for OCing which will be good for future use, then I will deal with the noise. Seems like everything runs quicker after install(just like a car wash).

Pros: It does keep my AMD X2 4400+ at 33 Celsius. The Blue LED and UV rings are pretty neat. Comes with different UV rings and 2 different mounts for the fan controller. It feels like pushes a lot of air. Thank goodness the top part is detachable.
Cons: 1. It feels loose on an AM2+ socket. I remounted the thing several times. 2. This thing is huge for a 92mm cooler. With the top part on, it comes within 4mm of the side panel. 3. The fan control wire pops out so easily. A slight tug and it's out. To put it back in, you have squeeze your fingers underneath the cooler to plug it in. Very painful and frustrating for me. 4. Without the fan controller, it sounds like a rocket taking off. With the fan controller, it sounds like a rocket taking off when you have your hands over your ears (so it's still pretty loud). 5. The PCI bracket is hidden in the packaging. 6. The knob for the fan controller is too big. I mounted it on the PCI bracket and when installed, the knob overlaps onto the other PCI slots above and below it.
Other Thoughts: Why did I buy this? 1. It was cheap. 2. It has blue LED. 3. The computer build isn't for me. 4. Would I buy again? No. Very poor design by Gigabyte.

Lots of bling and fantastic cooling...once installed

Pros: My E5300 runs between 26C to 31C at the low fan speed. Ridiculous bling. If the blue led fan wasn't enough, it came with 4 different color UV rings. There is space for 2 of them. Well made. Very quiet. Includes fan controller with options for 3.5" mount or card slot mount.
Cons: Very tall and may not fit in some cases. It actually blocks my hard drives in my NZXT Rouge case so I would have to remove it to replace the hard drives. Instructions are sub-par. The clips were somewhat difficult to put on but that is as much the fault of my case as it is the cooler. I would like to have seen a push pin option like the stock Intel cooler. There was a hard to remove sticker on the fan duct that I had to clean the residue off of.
Other Thoughts: I bought this overkill fan strictly for the bling factor. You can never have enough blue led's. This was for a MS Home Server so I should never have to worry about heat problems.

Pros: Keeps things cool for sure, very quiet by my standards. Don't know why anyone would complain about the noise level.
Cons: Clips to mount it to the CPU are insanely difficult to use. They are WAAAAAAY too loose even after you "secure" them. Getting them was a 6 hour nightmare and I still had to wire the cooler to the base frame so it wouldn't slip and slide if even a bird flew by. Never had so much frustration with mounting one these things in my life. By another brand. Gigabyte makes good boards, but their cooling system design was design by someone who rode in the front of the short bus. Pass this one.
Other Thoughts: The website instructions had out of focus images so you can't see how the clips go on. Just ridiculous.
