3 out of 5 eggslooks kewl

Pros: Big fan, blows air onto mobo NB and regulators.
White LEDs look cool at night.

Cons: Just wasn't much of an improvement over stock HSF on slightly OC'd AMD X2.

Other Thoughts: For about the same cash pile take a look at the AC Freezer Pros for a major step up in cooling.

3 out of 5 eggsAdequate, but hardly extreme

Pros: It is a cooler, it does use heat pipes, and it does, indeed, have a large fan with LEDs. The Pros end right about there. While this cooler does an adequate job of cooling, it hardly lends itself to extreme usage, and is hard-pressed to keep up with any OC (overclocking) that might be thrown its way.

Cons: As advertised, it is quite large, though not as cumbersome or bulky as some. Installation, while not difficult, is not simplicity itself with 939 configurations, and in some cases can require more force than seems prudent. The fan, while large, spins at a low RPM thereby negating some of the benefit of such size in favor of low noise output.

Other Thoughts: If you plan to OC, or use this cooler on anything about 2.4GHz, I would recommend looking at other options with more heatpipes and fan control. Average temperatures with this cooler are in line with OEM cooling options (that is to say, stock coolers included with AMD and Intel CPUs). Therefore, other than looks, or the need to replace a cooler, it offers little in the way of advanced cooling. An experienced user can always replace the included 120mm fan with a faster fan, but that somewhat lessens the out-of-the-box value and benefit.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product

Pros: Great design and not too big, fit in my cm stacker830 with plenty of room to spare. Cools my oc2140 3ghz., temps never get past 37C way better then stock fan that was 10degrees hotter. Great product!

Cons: Only gripe, if you have tall heat spreaders on your ram beware. In my gigabyte ds4l this thing hovers over the first 2 slots.

Other Thoughts: Dont really like the white lights on the fan but you can always switch fans. Does it's job well.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: looks like something

Cons: purchased with an AMD X2 3600 CPU, at idle 40c, running a game 60C/140F. Had to modify the clip to get it attached to 939 pin board. I installed my old heatsink that came with AMD 2800+ CPU. at idle 35c, running a game 38c to 40c. Same Artic silver, both made contact, I wasted $29.99.

Other Thoughts: Because it had to be modified to get it on, it has been altered, therefore not returnable. Read reviews. Lightweight and copper?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When I purchased this I had noted that it was a tight fit for an AMD but bought it anyway. I had some problems but thanks to the support from Aerocool I was able to install and have this excellent unit running. It runs very quiet and does a great job.

Cons: It is rather large and the clip is a bit of a hassle.

Other Thoughts: I'll buy again and have received many positive comments at LANs about it. The customer support buy Aerocool was fantastic as well.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 4 inches high (over-all height with fan attached) it's the only performance cooler not 5" or taller that I could find anywhere for under $40. I'm using it in a HTPC case - fits with about half inch to spare. Now the cooling fan is 1/2" from the ait intake hole in the cover - nice {8 ^,

Cons: the mounting clip is a good design but it's not permanently attached to the cooler base - made clipping the cooler in place difficult because HTPC cases don't have room to spare to get your hand/fingers aroung the cooler area. See mounting solution in OTHER THOUGHTS

Other Thoughts: I was using a ThermalTake TR2-R1 (very nice, fairly quiet cooler, especially for the price) and temps were 41C Idle / up to 54C after 15 minutes of game play. With the X-Fire Idle temp is 34C and gaming temp doesn't go over 45C. A definate improvement for the case/cpu set-up I' using.

Easy mounting solution for cpu's in tight places :

- remove the cooler fan from the cpu cooler (4 screws - it's easy)
- place the retaining clip in the cooler base (be sure it's pushed into the provided groves)
- place the cooler on the cpu
- center the clip on the cooler base (while still in the groves) and keep the clip in place with your finger (access through the opening between the two cooling fin assemblies)
- snap the clip ends onto the AM2 socket
- re-install the fan
- plug the fan into the CPU fan connector
- your done

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Relatively quiet, low-profile, cools an 805 Smithfield well. Awesome white LEDs.

Cons: This cooler is out of the question for someone seeking a 'quiet' computer.

Other Thoughts: The LED beam pattern causes the remaining shadows to take on a near-swastika shape.

Ordered 2, and had to bend one back into correct shape due to barely-there manufacturer packaging. It was easily accomplished, though.

4 out of 5 eggsIt Works fine :D

Pros: It's not too loud, my cpu is cool - staying between 27 and 38 degrees C, and the fan is big so it looks nice in my case.

Cons: It was slightly bent on arrival but that was not a problem, large so might not fit in smaller cases, swastika led's are non-removable

Other Thoughts: For the price it is working and I am happy. :)

3 out of 5 eggsNot good enough for overclocked C2D 6320

Pros: 1) Light. Very light. I hate than a heatsink weight more than 2 pounds.
2) Quiet.
3) Better than stock HSF

Cons: 1) Low Quality Control - 1 of 2 I ordered came out bent
2) Hard to uninstall.
3) Keeps OCed C2D 6320 at ~28C idle 75C(!!!) under load. I had to reduce the voltage to keep temperature lower.
4) With 4 LEDs on looks exactly like swastika. And yes, ther eis no way to turn the LEDs off but yo unsolder the leads.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it if you want to get all the juice from your Core 2 Duo!
