Great Fans

Pros: They push a lot of air for the amount of noise they make, as advertised. I usually have these going full throttle and the noise isn't extremely loud. They do what they said they do. They're very cool looking, chrome look with the turbine end adds some style to it.

Cons: Nowhere in the description does it say there are blue LEDs that shine on the fan blades. My plan was to replace my original clear LED fans with these ones but ended up with a different shade of blue. Not a serious issue.

Other Thoughts: Great fans no doubt about it! For some people the turbine ends may get in the way but they can be removed. Remember these push a lot of air for the amount of noise and they have LIGHT BLUE LEDs!

Aerocool Xtreme noise

Pros: Sleek and stylish. They seem to move a very large amount of air.

Cons: Noise. These things are loud! I bought two for a CPU heatsink to use in a (mostly) fanless HTPC. I thought they would be good switch on in case things get a little hot. The manufacturer claimed low noise levels but it's not the case at all. I was really disappointed and am considering returning them.

Other Thoughts: They're probably great fans to use when noise isn't a concern. I'll try to wire them up with a rheobus to see if I can tame the noise.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: Max bling factor, perfect for front mounting! Great air/db thanks to the lower RPM and multi-blades.

Cons: Not terribly durable, silver coating will scratch/flake off after a couple years or sooner - buy a new one. Not good for high heat placement/sleeve bearing.

Other Thoughts: These fans have been around awhile - but still find a place in my latest build in front.
