5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with this cooler

Pros: Does an excellent job of colling my Pentium 4 (socket 478). Overclocking by 20% the stock Intel cooler put the CPU temp in the 70+ celcius range, with this cooler, the processor sits in the mid 40's. I am running an Asus P4P800 SE which allows serious overclocking. I have mine overclocked 20% generally, but could go higher with this cooler. It contains all the brackets you would need to connect it to other type sockets, though I can not speak to how well it would connect to others. The included socket 478 connector brackets made a pretty easy job of the odd raised plastic connectors. I have been running this thing for a year. It remains pretty quiet (large fan in the middle is quiet) and has worked w/out a hickup.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It is really tall. In my mid-tower case the top nuts almost touch the side of the case. It is doing it's job, so who cares. The narrow bottom allows for easy clearance for my four RAM slots which is kind of cool. Also lots of power connectors in case you don't have enough motherboard power connectors. Seems to be out of stock at Newegg which is too bad since I liked it enough to use it on a new new DuoCore (yes this thing covers a lot of sockets).

This thing really does it's job well. A little work to install (easier if you can temporarily remove the MOBO, but could have installed w/out removal.

If it fits your case, you won't go wrong using it.

5 out of 5 eggsOld dog, New trick

Pros: Modded this to nf7s-v2 socket A
board with the 2500+ clocked to 2.1gh. It replaced a Tt Silent Boost and dropped my temps 10c.
38c idle and 46c gaming works for me. Along side a BFG 7800gsoc

Cons: The socket A clamp is not strong
enough to hold this cooler up on it's own. Add a support or hanger.

Other Thoughts: Replacing the 100mm 1500rpm stock fan with the Scythe 100mm
2000rpm case fan, from New Egg,
yields 58cfm quietly. Will use
this cooler when I move to 64.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quiet cooler

Pros: Very easy mounting (especially compared to the Ninja in my own machine), keeps sister's A64 3400+ @ 2.6ghz running at 38-39C under 100% load at all times (running Folding@Home client) using the higher CFM fan available from scythe.

Cons: Only con is the weird fan size, very very very few 100mm fans available, and Scythe fans are expensive.

Other Thoughts: It looks sweet :)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Excellent cooling. Keeps my E6600 idling around 30c and loaded around 42-45c (Multiple Virtual PC sessions open)

Cons: Not really a con, but it is a bit large and uses intels designed fasteners, which are...lame, but workable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: This thing keeps my E6400 (2.33GHz OC) very cool. Running low 40's idle and about 51c playing WoW. WoW heats it up more than prime95 flooring both CPUs, most likely due to WoW pushing the GPU to 63c raising ambient in the case.

Quiet!

Cons: None for me. It's big, but it fits my case (Antec Solo) just fine with a little room to spare.

Other Thoughts: Big but light, as others said.

The fins are high enough up I could install it without removing the mobo and it clears everything around it just fine.

Great product for a great price!

5 out of 5 eggsWow, is this thing cool!

Pros: This thing cools my AMD Athlon X2 3800+ cu like nothing else! 6 heat pipes, whole buncha fins, and a smooth, shiny base. I'm not sure if my temp sensor on my motherboard is wrong but I haven't seen my processor go over 22° C which is absolutly awesome!

Cons: It's kinda big but I knew that going in... make sure you have enough room

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent AM2 cpu cooler

5 out of 5 eggsNice Fan

Pros: I went from a Zalman CNPS7000-Cu to this one. My idle temp was 49C (Prescott + Texas = HOT) to 41C idle. VERY happy with the results. Looks heavy but in actuality, it's very light.

Cons: Like everyone else said, it's a bit big. It BARELY fit my mid tower since my cover had a fan on the window.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended. Took me like 20 minutes to install and it would've taken me even less time to do it if the motherboard was out of the case.

5 out of 5 eggsScythe Mine

Pros: Very good heatsink. Light weight, easy to install, quiet working fan (upgradeable for better performing fans @ 120 mm), good cooling.

Cons: Price is a little to high.

Other Thoughts: This heatsink needs good airflow inside your case. Very, very easy installation.
