2 out of 5 eggsFollow up from August 2006

Pros: It's Quiet!

Cons: This fan died after about 5 months of use. It seems that the fan bearings are shot, blades aren't turning causing CPU to overheat and you know the rest....

Other Thoughts: It was quiet as claimed but the quality was very low! I guess you get what you pay for. I replaced it with a sturdier (& more expensive) Antec CPU Cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsDoesn't fit some Mobo's

Pros: Easy to install, very quiet.

Cons: Did not fit on the motherboard I ordered it for. The design interferes with the capacitors on some system boards. Luckily I was able to swap it with another P4 system I had.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet & big

Pros: This is a very quiet fan and does a good job of cooling my P4.
Installation was fairly easy.

Cons: Retaining clip hooks can break if not set carefully. Packaging could be better to protect delicate parts.

Other Thoughts: This is a large fan and can be tricky to install on saome boards. I found a lot of useful
information on the Mfg website...it cleared up any questions/problems that I had.

5 out of 5 eggsYou will like this one!

Pros: High quality CPU cooler. Very quite fan. Runs at about 1/3 speed until heatsink gets warmer, which in my system rarely happens. Fan blades are large so noise level stays low. Excellent unit for the price.

Cons: This unit is larger than the cheap OEM fans you will likely be replacing. If you have a mid sixe ATX case, it can get tight near the power supply. The hold down clips for P4 sockets are a bit tricky to engage.

Other Thoughts: If you like a small challenge, and like to ,"Pop the hood" on your computer, you'll be happy with this unit. NOT HEFTY ENOUGH FOR GAMERS.

3 out of 5 eggsHOT

Pros: Fan is quiet in levels I can't even hear it.

Cons: Fan only uses max RPM when temperatures are extremely high. Idle, my 2.6GHZ P4 goes up to 46C, and 60C busy. Even on 60C, fan uses only 2000 RPM out of 2500..

5 out of 5 eggsSilent fan

Pros: Fan is extremely silent and easy to install. Keeps my CPU at a reasonable temperature and never overheats.

Cons: i haven't yet found out how to control fan speed, but that's out of my lack of knowledge.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet but mixed results

Pros: Very quiet. Lower profile than some fans. Keeps the P4 2.40a at 38c -- that's nice.

Cons: Fan became extremely noisy after 7 mos. Stopped turning after 9 mos. Mfg offers a 6 year warranty, but does not complete this themselves. You must get repair/replacement done through your vendor (hopefully NewEgg!)

Other Thoughts: I'm more than a little disappointed that this fan went tango uniform. I've purchased three of these, and this was the first one installed. I hope the other two don't have the same experience.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Fan, Very Quiet

Pros: Very Quiet, Installed this AND another fan for heat exhaust and my machine is about 1/4 as loud as it was with just the stock Intel heatsink/fan.

Cons: Seems a bit cheaply made, clips feel almost like aluminum foil-very thin. I hope it lasts. Heatsink gel was very hard to work with, it may have been old and dried out.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I'm happy with this fan, it is very quiet and that's what I was looking for.
