4 out of 5 eggsworks good until ...

Pros: installed fine, ran quite. worked well.

Cons: My fan went out. I had the unit for about 13 months..

Other Thoughts: i dunno about the fan going out so soon.... kinda bites. Giving a 4 'cause the fan went all noisy on me.

3 out of 5 eggsDidn't work for me

Pros: Nice design, well made, inexpensive.
And, of course, NewEgg's the best

Cons: Wouldn't fit my Sapphire X800GTO blue version without some modification and not using some parts so never installed. Not worth the trouble to RMA - I'll just sell to someone who can use it.

Other Thoughts: Ordered a Zalman.

5 out of 5 eggsAbosolutely necessary for X850XT

Pros: Quite! It can hardly be heard over my two case fans and they're not even that loud. For $20, not having to hear the noise from the stock HS is well worth it. It cools the GPU and memory chips on both sides which let me push my memory a bit more than the stock HS did.

Cons: I installed it (with Arctic Silver 5) and had no luck OCing my core any further nor did it take down my temps very much. I was able to maintain stability at 540/600 with the stock cooler. <p>Also, It's big... and makes removing the VGA power connector VERY difficult to remove.

Other Thoughts: If you have an Sapphire X850XT (not sure if all X850XTs have this problem), you know that the stock HS is noisy. At full blast, the fan sounds like a mini hair-dryer. At anything less than 80%, there's this annoying whine sound. It's a great card for the price (too bad they no longer make it) and this HS just sweetens the deal.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very easy to install. Took my temps on BF2 from 80 to 56 on a full load. I'm very impressed.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Directions say to apply the thermal paste. It's already on the cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best you Can GET!

Pros: Great design, great airflow, exhaust air out of case! Easy install on my x850 xt pe (softmodded 16p pro). Took down temps by a lot! Went from 49C idle to 32C!! And from 75C load, to 60 max!! This is after I OC'd beyond XT PE levels!! You are not going to get better for the x8xx application on air!

Cons: None. A little bulky, but I have plenty of room for it, and it's worth it's size 10 fold easily!

Other Thoughts: Dunno why you're waiting to get this! If you need a better cooling solution, then this is it! Read any professional review on it! I personally am sold to AC Cooling for any future video card I purchase! Get the best at the best price! Newegg ROCKS!

2 out of 5 eggsDepends on what you focus on.

Pros: Genius Design. Shoots all the hot air out the back of your case. Good-Looking.

Cons: Its a bit bulky. Takes up alot of space. I found myself "sawing off" part of the metallic frame with a regular hand saw which took AGES in order to make it properly sit into my X800XT. I also had to saw off a few thick pins. I guess it was NOT REALLY designed for my card even though it specified it was. However in the end I modified it quit well.

Other Thoughts: They shouldve specified I was going to have to severely modify the product in order to make it correctly sit on my card.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: After I installed this fan, the GPU temperature dropped several degrees and I could barely hear a thing.

Cons: Its a bit big. That's not really a problem for me, but for a smaller case you should watch how far it juts toward the drive bays.

Other Thoughts: I installed this on a Sapphire Radeon X850XT PE. Fits like a glove.
