4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: install was easy. it lowered my GPU temps from the mid 50's to the low 40's .

Cons: NOISY! mine should be called the NVgrowler. when ever i reboot my machine and at other random times this thing howls for 5-30 minutes before it settles down.

2 out of 5 eggsWork on it

Pros: looks cool

Cons: not cool. I have a 6800gt. The big cooling plate prevents the thermal pads from coming into full contact with the ram. If there was an ever so slight nub of metal to bridge the gap with the ram it would be a great product.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to have to completely dis assemble it and see if it can be salvaged. It isn't worth the shipping to send it back for a different one.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy install(Apollo 6800 AGP), which took me all of 5 minutes. Runs quiet, pushes alot of air out the back of case.

Cons: Not much. Fan connector is a tight fit somewhat.

Other Thoughts: Don't be scared if the thermal grease appears to be missing from the packaging. They have pre-applied some to the heatsink already.

3 out of 5 eggsIts TOO thick

Pros: Keeps it cool. Fine for single video card systems only.

Cons: It is far too thick! Takes up an extra slot! If you plane on going SLI this cooler will not work and the fan will touch the second card and not spin!

3 out of 5 eggsBrand "Z" does it better

Pros: Only $xx

Cons: I have tested my 6800GS eVGA PCI-e card with both the Z@lman VF700-Cu and the Artic Cooling Silencer NV5.

While the Silencer looked promising, it could not hold a candle to the Z@lman's ability to keep the GPU cool. Heavy duty graphical benchmarks and gaming failed to get the GPU above 55°C whereas similar tests with the Silencer had the GPU temps above 61°C.

So any of you in a similar quandry as to which cooler to get, perhaps my experiences may assist you in an educated decision. The Z@lman does a better job.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Cool!!

Pros: Makes the stock cooler sound like an F-16!! Install was so easy my dog can do it. Took only five minutes.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: I have an unique case and mobo. I had to remove one of the card slot dividers on the case so the exhaust could fit. Also my NVIDIA chipset has large heatsink, so that had to be bent to fit around the cooler. But for most case there should be no problem.

4 out of 5 eggsASUS 7700 Owers Beware

Pros: Seems to be real quiet and efficient at cooling. Haven't stressed it to much but my card's video RAM was max'ing out at around 68C after BF2 for a few hours. Now stays under 60C and as Artic Silver settles will probably lower.

Cons: If you have the ASUS 7700 Model of the 6800GT, be advised, the electrical connector does not fit the one on the card. I had to cut my old connector and splice it onto this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet and cool

Pros: - 55C in WoW. 1280x1024 at max settings. Used to run around 70C at max load. Much quieter too and helps keep system temps down by blowing the hot air out the back. I also reused the stock backplate from my stock cooler since it was made of copper and kept the back of the card cool. Fit perfectly.

Cons: - Only problem was that I had to cut off the fan connector and splice the one from my stock cooler on. The new one wouldn't fit in the connector. Is an AGP Leadtek 6800 GT TDH (original 6800 GT).

Other Thoughts: Very good product but the fan connector needs work.
