Pros: The imaging on these is just great (ie: they produce a nice sound stage, it's not particularly easy to isolate all sounds to one or the other speaker, which is saying a lot, considering I'm sitting two feet away from them).
My 5 rating of course factors in the price, but still...I know speakers (I have a several thousand dollar home theater setup in my basement), and I can say with confidence that these would not be unreasonable at three times the price. The Bose PC speakers, for example, go for well over six times what Creative is asking for these, and I can tell you they don't put out anywhere near six times the sound.
Cons: I'm actually trying to find one right now...
Okay, the wires are permanently fixed to the back of the speakers, which can be a bit of a pain for some people.
Also, the bass response is far from award winning. For most music, it's acceptable, actually surprising, but if you listen to a lot of hip-hop or techno, and you're buying these specifically to listen to music...well you may want to look else where.
Other Thoughts: I have two computers, an Intel gaming rig, and a Mac mini for everything else. I bought these speakers for one reason only: to hear the sounds my Mac makes (ie: the boot up noise, program notifications, etc). I did not have music, or anything like that, in mind. I was plesantly surprised by the fact that I could not only play my music on these, but also derive a satsifying experience in the process.
Granted, if I turn on any really bass heavy music, such as hip hop or techno (which I really don't listen to all that much anyway), these speakers start to show their limits, but when one factors in price/performace ratio, these are right up there with the best.
In summation, if you're looking for speakers primarily to hear the various noises your computer makes, with the added benefit of being able to listen to music/videos, these are a good move. If you want speakers that can provide richer bass, while still being kind to the wallet, check out the Logitech X-230.

Pros: great sound quality, can put out quite a lot of volume, no crackling as far as I can tell.
*note* comes with mini pseudo sub-woofers on the back of each speaker.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: all cables are fixed and cannot be removed. not really a problem as the cables are sufficiently long.
- 4ft power cable - 4ft audio cable - 4ft between each speaker

Other Thoughts: these speakers are absolute trash. i purchased them from a local electronics store and wound up returning them after attempting to use them for ten minutes. they hum so bad that any sound you're trying to hear is essentially drowned out.
the difference in ground voltages between your sound card and these speakers, which have the transformer inside, makes humming basically impossible to avoid. usb speakers don't have this problem, so buy those instead.
