Cons: Do not work at all any of the three PC's on hand. Already threw in the trash. WASTE of money.

Pros: I eventually did get usb2.0 functionality on my old Compaq Evo N800c laptop running ubuntu 9.04 - after a great deal of jiggerypokery
Cons: A different card labeled 'Best Connectivity' was shipped to me. After working perfectly for ten minutes the screen went black and refused to work at all until I unplugged the card again. Every time I plugged anything into the usb slots the entire system would reboot. Eventually I noticed that there was a 5v power plug that my PSP's charger would fit into and I tried running it while plugged in. After that it's been working just fine.
Other Thoughts: Beware, the card advertised was not shipped to me, instead a different card was shipped.

Pros: I bought this USB2.0 adapter because the spec said it worked in Linux; none of the others did. The spec was correct. I plugged it in my Dell Inspiron laptop (old sucker... p4 level) and it started working without even asking for a driver. The system didn't even blink... it just started working.
My file transfer speed went from 1.0mb/sec to 30mb/sec or more depending on what device and files were going through it.
The price was very nice too. Shipping was fast, as always.
Cons: None, really. If you have two PCMCIA slots, you probably won't be able to use both of them. It would be cool if some vendor offered a "upside down" version of the same card, to avoid that problem.
