Pros: Installed easily, fits nicely and works.

Cons: Having a 6 pin connector it will power connected devices. It requires a 12VDC, 1A power adapter to power the devices that startech describes in the specifications page on its website. The problem is that startech doesn't sell it on its website. You can purchase generic adapter but risk that the connector doesn't fit.

Other Thoughts: Firebox will not install audio device drivers while using this expresscard firewire connector. From my research however it appears that this is a common problem with all laptop expresscard firewire connectors and firebox.

Pros: does its job and does it well.

Cons: poor construction, it just doesnt feel ready to last more than a few months when i hold it, bends easily and makes me think breaking.

Pros: plugs in and runs my my books just fine

Cons: have to make sure it doesn't get bumped or else it will disconnect cause it fits loosely
