Apple iPod video 2.5" Black 60GB MP3 / MP4 Player MA147LL/A

Pros: Grat price for a great piece of hardware. I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present and she loves it. She was able to fit all of the albums on her laptop with a lot of room to spare. Sound quality is excellent and the display is fantatsic.

Cons: Can be easily scratched. I figured as much before I bout it so I picked up a case for it. With the case it has yet to receive a single scratch.

Other Thoughts: You really can't beat the price for the amount of storage you get with this. Once again Newegg has the best price. Shipping was quick and it was well packaged.

Pros: It is a solid mp3 and video player.

My product died after about a year. I had the applecare protection plan. I activated the plan and apple payed for my shipping of the product. The Ipod was totally dead apparently.

4 days after sending the dead Ipod in, I recieved a brand new Ipod, no charges for anything.

Truly superior service. If you are thinking about buying this, get yourself the protection plan, it is really worth it.

Cons: Itunes: A real pain.

I bought this product when it first came out for around $500. Worth every penny though.

Other Thoughts: A high quality product, with higher quality support. I have had other mp3 players from other companies, and their support was always terrible. Get the protection plan with this product and you will have a very positive experience.

Pros: It's holds all my music, good looking, plays a 2 hour movie w/ backlight on, easy to use, long battery life, LOUD, and it's made by apple.

Cons: Can get scratched, but i solved that with an agent18 clear case.

Pros: Works great with my PC and MacBook Pro. I'm able to watch my podcasts, and listen to my music on my bus rides to work and back. Video playback is ok. Not like my Creative Vision 30G but good.

Cons: Do not like that I can only use iTunes to sync my podcast and music with it. That's not cool.

Pros: Its a IPod ... looks great, plays video.

Cons: video is way to small, you have to deal with iTunes on a pc is a nightmare.

Pros: Though all 5Gs are superior to previous generations in terms of battery life, the 60GB is more efficient than the 30GB due to smarter caching and increased file size capabilities. If you like to listen to uncompressed files, choose the 60GB.

Small, slender, fetishistic; good with iTunes on a mac, excellent with Rockbox on any platform; superior audio performance with line out dock; very workable 44.1k recording through mic in of Belkin Tune Talk; plays video and photo slide shows; address book/calendar integration good for mac-loyal luddites without smart phones or compact laptops.

Cons: Battery life, while good, is less than advertised. Too easily scratched (invest in an Invisible Shield before using and this will never become an issue); screen too small to warrant playing videos; headphone amp lacking; iTunes integration excellent with Macs but questionable with PCs.

Other Thoughts: Earlier iPods had wretched battery life. However, the 5G has proved so efficient that battery dock manufacturers have no future market share. Those who complain excessively have never owned a 5G iPod. They're making misleading reference to previous battery issues with the 3G. The giveaway: Apple's supposed unresponsiveness, which predated a class action settlement for 3G users (users' batteries were replaced for free).

The ability to record 44.1 audio is a welcome change. So is the superior EQ and file tree sorting after Rockbox is downloaded and installed. Though I've never liked any iPod's headphone out, that's also true of every other player I've ever owned or tested, including the celebrated iRiver h140. Using the line out through a headphone amp is always best (though few players have a true line out).

Pros: Large HD. Easy to find music files fast. Looks good in black. Others THINK they want one.

Cons: Well iTunes really is a terrible interface. There are a few strange and complex ways to get around this, but mostly it is what many users will have to live with for the life of this item. iTunes makes the iPod almost unbearable. The front also scratches VERY easily. It's also nearly impossible to get all music to be at same volumes if you have old ('80s era) and new/remastered cds.

Other Thoughts: Apple need to change iTunes or I'm gonna sell my iPod and go with the Gigabeat 60Gb. (Since I know they wont change, I'll just get the Gigabeat.)

Pros: This is the best mp3, video player out there, i have owned creative and other brands, but this hold 100% perfect quality songs, movies, tv shows from itunes or any converted file, unlike what some people are saying...it does not have short battery life at all, bright screen, fits in pocekt, looks amazing

Cons: silver backing scratches easily, oh boo hoo, get a case and then there r no cons

Other Thoughts: I can hold thousands of songs, full dvd movies and i have about every tv show ever on it, full season of 24, the office, etc ontop of my music and pictures and arcade games, creative and all other brands are nothing compared to this ipod, i dont know where the other reviews are so bad
