Pros: terrific mp3. holds countless songs. has good seperation and artist, album, and song. good price for the ammount you get out of it.

Cons: can't find one. it's a little bigger than your average mp3 player, but can still fit in any pocket comfortably. the protective case woulc be nice if you could scroll while it was on, but no major problems found.

Other Thoughts: save yourself xxx$ worth of cds or inefficent mp3 players, and pick this one up. you'll be satisfied.

Company Refuses to Take Responsibility for Faulty Firmware

Pros: Good design and features.

Cons: Company's neglect of responsibility towards customers.

Other Thoughts: No matter how good the design of this product may be, and no matter how good the features are, there is an underlying problem with this corporation's treatment of its customers.

I have had a really nasty experience with the Creative Lab Zen Xtra 40G, which convinced me to stop purchasing any of the company’s products. Unfortunately most of my computer sound related accessories are Creative ones.

The problem arose when one of the company’s new firmware release bricked the player. After this there was no way to reset the device in any of the ways accessible to owners, it had to be sent back to the labs to restore it. After doing a little on-line research it became clear that many people experienced the same exact problem. Same update, same response, at the same stage of the update. This was no fluke.

I exhausted every possible way of getting the Tech support department to take responsibility for this bad piece of software and wave the fees associated with the restoration. Even t

Pros: The touch pad is fun. Holds all the music you need. Ive got over 1,000 Mp3s on mine and its great for work. I have a set of creative speakers i plug into the headphone jack and it plays loud. The battery life is outstanding it lasts all day long. Recharging does not take long maybe just an hour.

Cons: If your planning on using this as a aux device beware. I really wanted to use this in my car with my car stereo which has a USB slot however my car stereo only supports windows licenced devices of some sort which this does not comply =(. A total bummer, i wish they could specify what each Mp3 player supports or runs as drivers here. Be sure to research before you buy something like i did.

Other Thoughts: Its a good mp3 player battery and storage space is number one with this.
