5 out of 5 eggsGreat Job!

Pros: Great sound. This thing does exactly what I want it to do. The clip part is nice and strong, works just fine on below zero (F) walks to campus, and navigation is decent. This unit has never broken or crashed on me and the battery life is amazing. I charge it about once every two weeks with about 1 to 2 hours of play a day. The radio gets great reception although I havent played with the FM recorder much.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is the folder navigation. I am unable to name files. The player will sort them how it wants regardless of how you name them. There may be a way around this but it hasnt bothered me enough to find a fix.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat........BUT.............

Pros: Small, clean design, easy to use, affordable....

Regular firmware updates and improvements!

Cons: The ONLY thing I do not like is that you cannot simply drag and drop a folder full of music and have the player find and play only the files in that folder. Say you want a folder full of 7 year old Creative Muvo MP3 player (and almost all others!!!) will let create that folder and select it and play just that folder.

The Sansa firmware forces you to take an extra step or create a playlist a certain way or use something like Windows Media Player to sync it so it will recognize that folder. Pretty stupid!!! The SANSA forums are loaded with complaints about this...and it is a problem on ALL their MP3 players. However, it is not hard to do it...just not as simple as it should be.

Other Thoughts: Should the CON above stop you from owning this? NO! It is worth it. Plays my music loud and clear...perfect for the gym, jogging, anything. And if it was only about $40-50.

I have owned mine since the day it came out. I bought it immediately. The battery lasts along time, it charges via USB and the SANSA update software is simple, nonintrusive and makes sure I have the latest firmware.

I highly recommend this product. If you buy it, just send a complaint email to Sansa and tell them to get their act together...make it drag and drop simple!!!!!! Geeez! lol

5 out of 5 eggsA good value

Pros: First, it only cost $25 (@ Newegg) which makes it much more attractive. It doesn't completely take the place of my iPod, which I still need to use to keep up with the variety of podcasts and other materials I want to listen to, but it is a fine little player. Sound quality is good, and the small screen is easy to read. If you have reasonable expectations and don't have too much stuff you need to load on this device, it does the job.

Cons: Doesn't really work with iTunes, so a Mac user is working under some limitations. It can work with a Mac, but just not as smoothly as you may be used to if you are used to the iTunes/iPod interface.
Charging time is a little slow compared to an iPod.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a viable alternative to an iPod Shuffle, and in some cases, a cheaper alternative to a Nano.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent mp3 player

Pros: Great music player, doesn't do video, but does an outstanding job with audio. Nice small form and I really like the integrated clip.

Cons: No microSD slot. Not really a con at this price point, but it would be a nice addition.

5 out of 5 eggsPurist value

Pros: -Elegant design, clear and vivid display.
-Intuitive navigation.
-Great sound, if you supply good headphones.
-Supports all popular audio formats.
-Easy drag-and-drop interface with computer

Cons: Stock earbuds are not amazing quality.
No way to dim light ring around control pad, which is very bright.
Clip detaches from player a bit easier than it should.

Other Thoughts: THE player for value-conscious people who like music, not pretty toys. Might be worth shelling out for the 4/8GB models.

4 out of 5 eggsTiny Little MP3 Player

Pros: Works fine and plays Audible .aa files. The player has great battery life and looks sharp. The clip has a steel spring so it can really clip on to anything from a t-shirt sleeve to a canvas belt and not feel like it's going to fall off or break the clip.

Cons: Takes a while to charge and the playback settings (shuffle / repeat) aren't very user friendly.
The titles for audiobooks takes forever to scroll through, which is really only an issue for books divided into multiple parts.

Other Thoughts: To play the audiobooks after uploading them, select music from the main menu, then scroll down to Audiobooks. This took me a little while to figure out.

This player is tiny; I didn't really pay attention to the specifications and was pleasantly surprised by the small size when it arrived.

1 out of 5 eggsif only it would hold a charge

Pros: once charged, turned on, and set up its pretty easy to use

doubles as a usb drive

keeps girlfriend confused for hours

Cons: . . .difficult to charge. . .from day one, most of the time the computer wouldn't even recognize it as a device unless it was plugged in when you power on

now after about a month or so of use. . .it won't even turn on. . .and has 98% battery. . .weird. . .

Other Thoughts: if you want a shiny little plastic thing that looks like an mp3 player but is really a usb drive then this is the purchase for you

1 out of 5 eggsdisplay failure

Pros: Great battery life, bright display, good volume, works with Linux mass storage

Cons: Complete display failure at the 4 month mark. Dimmed, with what looked like burn-in, for about a week before going out altogether.

Other Thoughts: Maybe the OLED tech is still too new
