Good, but...
- Pros: Inexpensive, but highly functional MP3 player + FM radio. Decent sound, decent display. I also like the fact that it can be used as an audio recorder - and works fairly well for that.
- Cons: Hate the proprietary connector on the side, when a standard USB would have worked just fine. The earbuds that come with it are not very sensitive, so you have to turn the volume control MUCH higher than for most headphones/earbuds. Replace them and it's not bad at all.
- Other Thoughts: Worked just fine for a couple of weeks. But once, when I was uploading files, the cord got pulled from the PC. Now when it's turned on, all I see is a message, "Refresh Database" which the progress bar stops about 1/4 the way through and never goes further. I've found the instructions on "resetting" and re-formatted it. (these include sliding the lock and pressing different keys while plugging it into the PC) I've done both according to the directions, several times. Still, the same non-progressing continues. All it's good for right now is as a light for finding my keys in the dark. If I could just get the radio to work, I'd be a lot happier.
Solid performer at a good price
- Pros: Inexpensive (got mine for $13/free ship), good sound, easy to load music into (drag and drop). Equalizer does a good job of fine-tuning the sound. Got a 2Gb micro SD card for $7, so 3 Gb player for $20...pretty much unbeatable for that size.
- Cons: No real volume control-it's either high or low for settings.
- Other Thoughts: 3rd Sansa-all refurbs-I've owned; I have a 2Gb and a 4Gb also. All have done well for me, and I recommend them to my friends/coworkers. I use them only for music, so I'm not really sure how well the video is on them.
Lasted a month
- Pros: Cheap, lightweight
- Cons: Would have been a great little player for holding all my music except that it broke a week after the 30 day warranty expired (no sound comes out, no matter what earphones I use.)
There goes 15$ straight down the drain, you really have to doubt the quality of their "Refurbishing" job (seems like they just sell the broken piece of junk right back to the customer.)
