5 out of 5 eggsperfect

Pros: lightweight, excellent battery life, easy to navigate, attached clip holds fine during exercise, great value

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my 2nd gen ipod shuffle. Much cheaper than buying another apple product. Also, it has a screen to show what is playing/ select a song. Much better value.

1 out of 5 eggsa risky purchase

Pros: Very easy to upload songs, just plug it in and drag the music files into the player. Decent battery run time. Easy to learn user interface

Cons: head phone jack hole was screwy, when I plugged in the headphones all the way, there was a very noticable static discharge into the headphones which made listening to music impossible, tried with different headphones, same result.

Other Thoughts: its always risky to buy refurbished, but newegg's return policy was pretty compliant and gave me a refund. but wasted time/shipping costs both ways which adds up to like 5 dollars. Meh

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: -Above average sound (good for price) with good volume.
-Very good battery life.
-Light weight.
-Recognized by Media Monkey (good for my podcasts)
-Recognized by Overdrive Media Console (important for those of you who rent audio books from the Chicago Public Library).

Cons: Screen died after 6 months but it was probably more because I manhandled it (dropped it several times and it would also find its way to the bottom of a loaded backpack).

Some of the navigation requires an extra button push compared to most other players so there is a tiny learning curve to get used to it. But once you have it down, it's natural. I can do it with a broken blank screen LOL.

Other Thoughts: This is your simple media player. So if you need 10++ hours of listening while you are doing tasks at work, this is the player for you.

Easy to lose. I am buying a third one cuz' my first one landed in the washing machine.

1 out of 5 eggsFool me three times...

Pros: very lightweight, decent sound quality, easy to use, affordable

Cons: I love the Clip, and if only I could have one that would work, I'd be very happy. Alas, I've now owned three, and they all each failed in less than a year. Clip #1 worked for about 9 months until the up volume control stopped working. That happened before the warranty expired, so SanDisk replaced that one with Clip#2. Nine months later, the up volume control on Clip #2 stopped working. I tried reinstalling the hardware, and spent quality time with their engineers, but it could not be fixed. It now functions as a USB hard drive. Although I knew better, I then bought a refurbished Clip from Newegg. Clip #3 lasted three weeks before it failed completely. I was lucky there because, even though Newegg says that there's a one-year manufacturer's warranty, SanDisk does not cover refurbished units. Fortunately, since it failed before Newegg's 30-day return period, Newegg offered to give me another one but mercifully refunded my money instead.
Am now experimenting with an eMatic. Pray for me.

5 out of 5 eggsMP3's For Less

Pros: This MP3 player is very compact and extremely reasonably priced. This will be my second. (I lost my first one) It is easy to sync and operate and very compact. It has custom equalizer settings, which I consider a necessity. The battery life is reasonable, especially if you just let it play and avoid keeping the display active. The interface is intuitive. It uses a standard mini USB connection. This makes it easy to interface with a computer without a special cord and to use my cell phone charger instead of charging with my laptop or desktop. This is a nice feature when on the road.

Cons: It has no video playback, but that's not why I bought it. It's so compact, it is easy to lose. The headphones that came with it are typical cheapos. It sounds great with my Shure earbuds, and my cheaper Koss too.

Other Thoughts: This is a great basic player, which was all I was looking for. I bought the so-called "refurbished" 4GB model for less than 1/3 the price listed for new. I use this extensively when traveling, especially by air. You can use the built-in clip or just put it in your pocket while playing. I have learned to make sure all of my MP3's have proper IDIV tags to enable sorting and easy playlists. I have a lot of old ones and have been updating them. Since I ripped many of them myself, I have only myself to blame.

1 out of 5 eggsRecertified Garbage

Pros: None Because it didn't work

Cons: Locked up when trying to load music onto the player, would not power back on, tried several different fixes I found on the internet, none worked

Other Thoughts: I normally don't buy recertified products and this is the reason why.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MP3 Player

Pros: I bought this incredible little MP3 player the moment that it came on sale for around 25 bones AND free shipping. This little ditty looks brand new even though it says it's refurbished. Couldn't tell by me! Powered up perfectly and I immediately filled it to capacity with 1,000 songs. It may take a few minutes to get used to the user interface but there's always a learning curve for new devices. Sounds great and is about the size of a book of matches. Came with earbud phones that sound pretty good.

Cons: Can't think of any. Maybe the USB cable could be longer? It's only about 9 inches long.

Other Thoughts: I bought my friend the 4 gb Fuze model for a gift. It was expandable to 8gb. The Clip PLUS model will accept a 4gig micro SDHC card... Wish this model did.. Oh well. It is a perfect purchase for the money and it looks absolutely brand new! Upon arrival I was not impressed that it came in a UPS plastic bag. Looking inside the lightweight box containing the MP3 player was smashed... Luckily, there was zero damage to the player. Great buy!

1 out of 5 eggsToo bad

Pros: Worked for a few minutes but was never recognised by my computers.
Small size great for gym.
Newegg returns work great.

Cons: Only worked for a few minutes.

Other Thoughts: Would have been a terrific product if it worked, too bad.
