Great Net surfer

Pros: I put a intel dual core 2.o gig proc and a WD 80gb harddrive with an inexpensive USB G wireless card and 1 gig of ram. Replaced the front graphic with a favored anime' print and loaded XP sp3 on it and it out performs a toshiba lappy with Vista and 1.5 gb of ram! This is a graduation present for a 13 year old. She was delighted!

Cons: The motherboard is a nonstandard itx board size wise... 6.5 x 9 as opposed 6.5 x 6.5.

Other Thoughts: When used as intended, a light weight net surfer, this system excells.

Great lil pc

Pros: Great price for a mini itx computer. I the mobo is so-so, but great for the price. Currently running windows 7 on the shuttle pc. I bought the modded dvd/cd-rom plexi-glass.

2.33 Dual Core 2 Processor
2 gigs DDR2 ram
500gig SATA harddrive.
DVD\CD rom drive.
Wireless Card - i also added this.

Cons: No rear fan. Gotta order one.
Wish it was a PCI express slot instead of PCI.

Cool Case

Pros: I did not buy this from newegg, actually tiger (wont buy from them again)
This is a great chassis, however I did find the motherboard lacking (i mean come on a intel 950?)
But the good news is that this puppy fits a m-itx mother board, so I got a zotac 9300 nvidia one. The power supply works great with it. Get the adapter kit for a notebook bluray and you have a nice small and quiet media center that rocks hddvd.

Cons: intel 950 chipset, I could deal with the 3100 or 4500 series because at least they technically can decode encrypted hd medias. But not really a con because if you are not doing this the onboard is great even with hd (1080p) content that is not encrypted.

Other Thoughts: Great case, its small and affordable. Try finding a media center this cool, case and psu wise let alone with a full functional mother board for this price.
