correction

- Pros: i want to correct my previous review. This unit does have text to speech; it simply must be activated, and i didn't see it at first.
- Cons: battery life is terrible. maybe this is why it's refurbished? I will charge it to 100%, then unplug the charging cable, and it will discharge right before my eyes (about 1% discharge per second). Hence, it will always have to be plugged into the car to operate.
Don't buy it
- Pros: Cheap
- Cons: Stops working.
Old database.
Weak battery.
Poor navigation.
Poor quality.
Doesn't turn on.
good basic unit. NOT text-to-speech
- Pros: simple design. great price. very fast shipping and delivery.
- Cons: Mis-advertised. This unit does NOT have text-to-speech. It has spoken directions, but does not say the street names. That is what I was looking for, and I couldn't believe there was a unit for under $75 with text-to-speech. but, turns out it was too good to be true. Also, not exactly accurate when finding very specific locations (i.e., 1 shop in a row of shops of a mall), but will get you to the general area. The unit works fine, but I might return it simply due to it not having text-to-speech.
