Pros: 1. Customizable characters thanks to the Shadow's class system. You can make your party suit your play style.

2. Refined turn based combat system. Being able to charge attack for more power at the cost of speed is a nice addition to the formula.

3. Long adventure, you get will get your money's worth. You will not be able to run through this game in one or two days.

4. Artwork by Akira Toriyama

5. Selectable languages for the voice overs.

6. Developed under Mistwalker supervision.

Cons: 1. Artwork by Akira Toriyama. (People seem to either love or hate his style)
2. The game is very easy.

3. The FMV causes the game to be three disks but it is virtually indistinguishable form the real time graphics engine.

4. Will only appeal to you if you are a fan of traditional Japanese RPGs.

5. Occasional screen tearing.

Other Thoughts: Mistwalker over saw Artoon's development of this game. Mistwalker is composed of Final Fantasy's original creator and other former Square employees.

Good cheap game

Pros: A good diversion. Decent game with lots to do.

Cons: VERY childish game. I would not have bought it if I knew it was explicitly made for kids.

Limited options in most parts.

Absolutely linear.

Battles take too long and are boring except in a few short parts.

Great RPG for the price

Pros: If you are into RPG's this is a pretty solid one. A little childish, but fun.

Cons: I don't think anyone can complain about this for the price.

Pros: I want to clarify that I am in no means an RPG fan in anyway. I rented this game (free rental) at blockbuster a year ago or so and played for a bit. Stuck with me enough to actually buy it almost a year later so I can finish.

+ Graphics / Art style (very friendly and visually pleasing)
+ Story (from what I've seen so far, its pretty decent)
+ Long game play (don't know how i'll feel at hour 50, but at least it has 50 hrs to offer, vs the recent flood of games you can beat in 6 to 10 hrs)

Cons: Not far enough in game to tell.

Classical JRPG Game

Pros: Great graphics, fun atmosphere. Interesting world and powers. Turn-based, which is a plus for me. Others might find it a minus. Characters are a bit stock, but they're fun, and interesting and that's what counts.

Cons: Saving's a pain. Doesn't say how, so you basically have to figure out you can only save near those floating sphere things. Voice acting is a bit off at times.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth its cheap price. :)
