Very good phone
- Pros: Touch screen, S60 5th Ed., full web browser, excellent battery life, US 3G, hand writing recognition, excellent battery life, loud speakerphone, bright display.
- Cons: Resistive touch screen (the regular kind, NOT like the iPhone). That's the only gripe about it.
- Other Thoughts: I love this phone, I've used a Nokia N90/91/93/95, E61/71/90. This is an excellent phone. Great reception and has US 3G; I know the description says 900/2100 for the UTMS, but that's wrong; this phone has 850/1900, so don't worry, it'll work on AT&T with 3G.
Touch screen is not super easy to use at first, so it takes some time getting used to it; after some practice it's quite nice to use. Love the dedicated media shortcut.
As with the resistive touchscreen, the other type used by the iPhone is call capacitive; the good thing about capacitive is you use your finger and everything is accurate; with resistive, it's not as accurate, but only with resistive can you use a stylus for handwriting recognition.
Great device
- Pros: Small overall size; ultra portable.
Bluetooth, Wifi. Relatively big screen fills most of the front surface. Handwriting recognition better than my Palm T5. Good selection of installed apps and easy to update and install new s/w and f/w. Works on AT&T, 3G. Supplied complete with an 8GB Micro SD card, USB cable, charging adapter.
- Cons: Writing language limited to English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. I would have appreciated Korean, Japanese, Russian and Greek. These should be possible, maybe with a software update.
Came with out of date firmware (but easy to update). Does not charge through USB, has the old fashioned wall-wart and connector.
- Other Thoughts: Updating the firmware was easy, the PC software supplied on a CD in the box is easy to set up and use.
Made my own wallpapers and copied them to the Micro SD card by USB, by Bluetooth, and by plugging the card into my computer. All methods work perfectly. WiFi connects to my home network, and the Nokia becomes a web browser that I can use to control my SqueezeBox music player through the Netgear NAS running Squeezecenter.

Great phone
- Pros: Great feature set for the price, nice display, great multimedia features and menu navigation.
- Cons: Wish there were more than 5 contacts displayed on the home screen. GPS functionality and software not up to my expectations. Camera seems to take less than stellar photos.
- Other Thoughts: No real complaints at all. I am very happy with this phone.
Does Not Like Cold Weather
- Pros: - I have to recharge it once every five days
- Easy to text with
- Despite the other reviews, I like the camera, and the flash.
- Despite the other reviews, I like the speakers too.
- WiFi capability is average. If you don't update the phone, you can't use WiFi it seems. And you can't update the phone over the air.
- Cons: - Fragile. Screen was badly damaged after a fall from less than 3ft.
- Cold weather makes this phone sluggish. The touch screen will just NOT respond.
- Too many taps... [Contacts], [Contact name], [Number], [Call], [Voice Call], just to call someone.
- If I don't use Nokia Maps it seems like I can't get rid of the icon from my menu... I can't get rid of ANY of the programs I don't use. Like those stupid games it comes with.
- Other Thoughts: Hit and miss with this one. Most love it though.
- Pros: Size and touch screen. Sound quality on phone is good.
- Cons: Getting apps for this and navigating around is painful. Not very intuitive.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this after a went swimming with my iphone and I regret making this purchase. It's not an iphone or an iphone killer
