Audio Quality lacking
- Pros: Very good at noise cancellation. Good range - I can leave the phone in one room and use the headset anywhere in my apartment (perhaps not a huge area, but you're definitely not tied to the phone like you would be with a cord)
- Cons: Voice Quality suffers. When it picks up my voice properly it flattens it out... seems to really reduce the dynamic range and make my voice sound flat. Turning off NoiseAssassin results in a lot of noise on the line, even in a quiet room.
- Other Thoughts: I haven't had much experience with bluetooth headphones - I had heard that this one was 'the best' - It is disappointing.
- Pros: Incredible noise cancelation. long battery life. I turned my stereo up high enough to hurt my ears, and my wife only hear a muffled sound. Works well in my car which is loud.
- Cons: No case included. Takes a lot of work to make it fit right.
- Other Thoughts: Comes with 4 ear loops and 3 rubber ear buds. It takes some time to get the fit right. I still prefer to talk with the phone itself. It works great for the car.
Too good to be true
- Pros: Very comfortable, very easy to hear the other party. The volume has a nice range and the controls are easy to learn. The leather-wrapped ear hook is great and comfortably kept it right in place every time. Easy to pair with several different phones - from an iPhone 3G to a Verizon LG Chocolate 3.
- Cons: As the title says, it's too good to be true. I got a lot of complaints from people whom I spoke with saying they couldn't hear me, or usually that my voice was popping in and out. What seems to happen is that the Noise Assassin technology is so good that it canceled out even my voice. The problem is that I just couldn't get the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) to stay in contact with my face.
- Other Thoughts: It's very true that the VAS needs to stay in contact with your face at all times for it to work properly, otherwise your own voice will get canceled out. Keep an eye on the return policy, just in case it doesn't fit your head. However, if it does fit properly, you'll be incredibly pleased.
