Jabra Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset Black Bulk (BT2050) - OEM

Pros: Exact OEM replacement for my Verizon Blackberry 8830. I lost my original one. Only $10 , who could do any better ?

Sits in my ear perfectly.

Pros: Ordered two the other one worked

Pros: Low cost. Surprisingly has better sound quality than any Plantronics or Motorola headset that I've had. I've had it for 6 months now and it still works beautifully.

I bought one for myself and one for my wife 6 months ago. My wife's disappeared when our cats found it and started playing with it.

Excellent battery life.

Cons: Not comfortable for extended conversation.

By that I mean that I don't enjoy having it in my ear for more than 3 hours at a time. After about the first hour I find that I have to adjust it in my ear.

The ear hook is a little flimsy, but hasn't broken on me yet.

Other Thoughts: I'm buying another for my wife and one for my Playstation 3 right now. Totally worth the money!

Pros: good price and not bulky, fits right in your pocket, this is my 1st bluetooth and im satisfied

Cons: instructions are wrong (let your cell do the pairing) and volume needs to be higher

Other Thoughts: the ONLY thing you need the instructions for is to get familiar with it then toss them in the trash and simply let your cell do the pairing instead of the headset.

Pros: * Very small
* Seems to work with any device I try to pair it with, including my computer non-Verizon flip phone, so it's not limited to Verizon phones.
* LED is less intrusive than most headsets. It's a very small white LED rather than the fog-light like blue leds most earpieces annoyingly have.
* Microphone works really well, almost too much so, people on the phone have said they can hear the voices of people near me. To me this is a pro since I can be heard very easily at my comp, though might be a con if you're say in a subway or airport or something.

Cons: * Not a mini-USB power connector, have to use the provided adapter for charging because of that.
* Booklet instructions for how to pair it with a new device are wrong. It tells you holding the power button will put it into pairing mode but it does not.

Pairing mode is done by turning off the ear piece, then holding both power and answer/hangup at the same time. The LED should flash fast 3 or 4 times and then stay on solid. You might need to hold just power till the very first flash THEN begin holding answer/hangup as well as power till the LED goes constant. I've also had luck when frustrated by just holding all 4 buttons at once.

Other Thoughts: This is the cheapest Bluetooth earpiece on newegg atm and that's basically the entire reason I bought it and I'm more than pleased with it. Bought 2 so far, going to get 2 more for friends.

Some info about it since the instruction booklet sucks:
PassKey: 0000 (as with most headsets)
LED status meanings:
* Several fast blinks while holding power = changing from off to on or visa versa.
* Constant on with no blinks at all = in pairing mode, waiting for device to find it.
* 3 slow blinks with 3 second gap of darkness = on and paired but not finding the device it's paired with (phone is turned off or out of range)
* 1 slow blink with 5 second gap of darkness = device paired and found (ready to use)

You might get a different power adapter each time. Of the two I ordered, I got one with just the Jabra logo on it and another one with LG's logo - both have the same connector and are interoperable on each headset so usability wise there is no difference.

Other Thoughts: Took a chance on a low-priced bluetooth, got burned. It's not worth the shipping to try to send it back. It does not come on in pairing mode as the instructions said, and it will not go into pairing mode manually. Both the instructions and the manual I found online say to hold the power button when off until the LED flashes, then goes solid. (5 sec). Does not happen. It will just go into standby mode after 10 seconds of holding button. Had another Jabra; the earhook broke after a month. They're junk.

Pros: This is my first bluetooth headset, and it works well. I've been using it for about 6 months. It has 'verizon' branding on the unit (that's why the product is descrbed as OEM) and came in a shrink wrap with the charger and manual. Pairs fine with my non-verizon phone (using a sprint sanyo phone). Sound is excellent and clear. Works well as hands-free dialing when paired with the voice commands on my phone. Fits fine and is comfortable to wear.

Cons: The volume could probably be a bit louder.

Pros: good sound, looks good, inexpensive

Cons: Instructions are WRONG
You have to hold down BOTH power and answer buttons when you turn it on for it to pair.

Pros: Good looks and design very comfortable

Cons: I will work only with Verizon the Image and picture of it should tell you that. all other devices that I have tried pairing with i does not work. Because of that it kinda stinks
