Pros: Great single player experience the first time through. I really liked the story and the feel of the game.

Cons: Replay value is a bit low as while there are a bunch of different endings, they're all similar, and theres only about 3 events that your actions will get you to see different parts of the story.

Multiplayer would have been ranked as meh if the game was released in 1998. If you've played TF2 or any modern multiplayer game you'll loathe it.

Other Thoughts: Played it through on hard the first time through with vita-chambers off and it really added to the tension without being unbearably difficult. I died a lot and always had quick save on my mind, but that only made it more fun (maybe i'm weird).

Pros: The main reason I buy video games is for the multiplayer. The multiplayer mode of Bioshock 2 is amazing. It uses the Unreal engine, which is one of my favorites. It is a fast-paced shooter unlike MW2. You are able to use a combination of special abilities and guns.

Cons: The default controls aren't the best for FPS play. You may want to adjust them.

Pros: -the graphics are good
-the gameplay is good for single player. the ai responds to each other(turrets vs humans)

Cons: -the story is not great. the first story involved elements that i did not see coming but at the same time it made sense. in this story, key figures are not interesting or unique. the story wants you to get your little sister so you can live but you do not even notice any weakness during the game that involves your little sister missing.
-the story mode is noticeably shorter than the first by far
-the multiplayer is terrible. your powers dont work the same as single player and everyone uses the same 2 overpowered guns
-hard mode is too easy. you can use your drill and melee attacks alone for the second half of the game and kill everyone (besides big daddies) in 1 punch.
-you can get lost by being unsure what you are meant to do.
-there are so few boss fights.

Other Thoughts: i would save my money. the multiplayer is bad and the single player is too short and predictable to enjoy. wait for g**of war 3

Pros: Its a fun new experience into the city of Rapture.

The basic combat mechanics of the first Bioshock are still there and it feels great. Even though the plasmids are not new, they are still very entertaining and don't get old.

The story is pretty good, it lacks a huge twist like "Would you Kindly" but still entertaining.

Cons: The multi-player feels tacked on but still provides some fast paced action.

The big sister was my biggest disappointment in the game. Starts off looking like she is going to be a main antagonist throughout the game but she ends up to be an unexciting mini-boss when you deal with all the little sisters in a level.

Other Thoughts: The game has lost some of the shock and awe value from the first game but it is still a wickedly awesome game. It is a must have if you liked the first Bioshock or like shooters in general.

Pros: Great story, follows along in the spirit of the first one. The ability to dual wield plasmids and weapons was a nice touch. Much more of a creepy tone to this one than the first.

Cons: A lot of folks complained that it felt like "more of the same" and while I agree, I'm not complaining. I've decided to include it as a con as that seems to be the majority opinion out there.

Other Thoughts: Play the first one if you haven't already. You don't really NEED to, but you should. It will make you appreciate a lot of little things in this one.

Pros: Fun, addictive, and entertaining.

Defending the little sisters can be a lot of fun if you actually use strategy and not just rush in crazy.

Plasmid/weapon combo is a really nice addition.

I highly disagree with what the previous reviewer said about the multiplayer aspect of the game. It absolutely does NOT feel tacked on at all so ignore him. You cannot judge a game and it's features in 1 day. Getting to level 40 in multiplayer was a TON of fun especially with all the various modes such as turf war, save the little sister, and survival/civil war modes. I personally thought turf war was the best. I actually enjoy it more than MW2 multiplayer as you live longer, rarely get 1-shotted, people hardly camp if ever, and it actually requires skill and use of the plasmid/weapon combo together with the environment well assuming you want to at least be a decent competitive player.

Cons: Some parts of the story did feel a bit dragged on and shall we say boring but those situations are rare

Multiplayer weapons weren't all that interesting, I mainly used 1 or 2 as they were the most effective/fun with my strategy but isn't that what you usually use anyways so maybe you will enjoy the other variety of weapons that I never used and trust me the weapons definitely have their strengths and weaknesses

Other Thoughts: Overall this game is a MUST if you liked Bioshock.

I did NOT play this game to compare it to the original, I enjoyed the first and enjoyed the second and just simply adding the multiplayer aspect to the game made it 5000% better for me definitely to the point where I played multiplayer way more than the single player.

Come on who doesn't want to be a Big Daddy online and cause destruction lol!
