Sony's Motorstorm offers breathtaking environments that almost make you want to pause mid-race just to take in the vistas… but that big rig bearing down on your motorcycle means that it would be a bad idea. Take part in rallycross style racing in Monument Valley racing everything from dirt bikes and ATVs to buggies and rally cars to big rigs. Choose your ride – and then choose your tactics as each track has features catering to the advantages of each class.
While the dirt bike is unsurpassed in its ability to ride along a ledge or make a jump, the big rig isn't concerned with going from mud to sand and can easily force lesser vehicles off of cliffs. And when the collisions happen, they occur with spectacular results as parts go flying everywhere. Mud effects, tire marks and vehicle debris occur in real time and are persistent. That tire from the racing truck you forced into the wall the previous lap will remain there as a testament to your victory for the rest of the race.
Fight your opponents – and the track – just to make it over the finish line intact. View the race from first person perspective or from above and behind as you roar across the barren waste and jump across chasms. The lighting effects bring the canyons to life as you pass from bright sun to shaded passes. Tear up the landscape online with up to 12 racers going wheel to wheel – or handlebar to running board – across punishing terrain. Additional downloadable content adds more tracks, new vehicles and vehicle graphics along with more tracks to the hard-rockin' soundtrack.

Once you pop, The fun don't stop!
- Pros: The crash sequences are amazing, you can see every detail of every part of the car. Everytime you play, it's always a different situation, no one race is ever the same, guarantee 100%. At one point, to win the race, I boosted to the limit to overcome 2nd and 3rd place racers, and i exploded right before the finish line, and I made it to first place by flying my dead body over the finish line first!
- Cons: Lengthy load times for vehicle selections. No 2 player option, only online and single player.
- Other Thoughts: Very fun game, once you start playing it, you can't stop. And the online feature is a must, if you don't have broadband to play this game online, you'll enjoy it less, none the less, you'll still enjoy it.
Great Game
- Pros: Great HD graphics, Extremely amazing tracks; all based in Utah mountains, Super Balanced gameplay (meaning all of the many vehicle types are equally strong in different ways and weak in others). The online play is superb, you can chat during the whole race and it keeps track of stats. Also, motion sensing steering is alot of fun.
- Cons: Only one player, but trust me, it is made up for.
- Other Thoughts: Awesome racing game that is truely unique. The ps3 is really starting to shine.

Incredibly fun, if you're patient...
- Pros: This is the game that started it all for the PS3. Plunged into a world of incredible terrains, insane obstacles, high-octane nightlife, it's every racer for himself on the track!
Choosing from a variety of vehicles, complete with different optimized routes for each, you face the mud and a handful of crazy opponents.
The visuals are gorgeous, the music fits well, and Motorstorm is just an all-around fun time.
- Cons: This is definitely a first generation PS3 game. The outstanding visuals come at the cost of waiting...and wait you will, because the load times are terrible. Navigating through the menus has you considering each move because you know that if you need to change another option, you'll be waiting for the menu to load. Selecting a vehicle is the same chore only a little worse. Getting into the game itself, might as well get a sandwich.
- Other Thoughts: Your patience is rewarded, because once you start playing Motorstorm, you'll forget all about the load times.
Good but.....
- Pros: Good graphics, really fun, smart AI, good sound track
- Cons: NO MULTIPLAYER!!!! unless is online that is not cool, is neat to make your car explode sometimes but is kinda of annoyoing to be last place when you are on first place and get in a really small accident....
- Other Thoughts: This game is alright but it could be so much better, car selection is not the greatest, and it lack of multiplayer... it gets kinda old real quick since must of the fun of this kind of game is when you play with your friends and family... online multiplayer is ok, but is better to be able to play with people in the same room, with all that being said, if you have 30 bucks to just spend in a game and you dont mind playing by yourself you might enjoy this game
