The year is 1951 and the world never suffered from the horrors of the Second World War. Instead, it has succumbed to something worse – the Chimera. The alien humanoids began taking over Russia in the 1920's and burst across Europe in 1949, conquering Britain in 1950. You are Sgt. Nathan Hale, the sole survivor of the US Army Rangers force sent to help liberate Britain. Like your comrades, and millions of humans before you, you were infected by the Chimeran virus. Unlike the others, you did not succumb to its effects and polymorph into a Chimera. Instead, you've been granted increased metabolism and limited regeneration – abilities which will serve you as you roam the blasted ruins of Great Britain in this first-person shooter.
Use a wide array of weapons ranging from real-world firearms to advanced "smart" guns which let you tag enemies for further shots or the auger gun which actually is more powerful after shooting through a wall. Chimeran weapons also will fall into your hands with different effects as well. Your enemies won't meekly run into your guns either, but will change tactics, try to flank, or attack from above and despite the screen filling with enemies, the framerate won't flicker.
The level designs move you from firefight to firefight without the need to backtrack whether on foot or in a vehicle. The gritty environments are incredibly rendered with the landscapes becoming less human as you proceed towards the heart of the enemy-held territory. Split screen cooperative mode is available. Up to 40 players can take part in online in half a dozen different modes. Form online squads to play alongside your friends – either as humans or Chimera. Each race has different abilities to balance game play.

Resistance: Fall of Man
- Pros: Graphics get really, really good about 1/4 through the game and stay that way through the rest. Graphics are more realistic and detailed than Gears of War at parts. Looks good on standard def TVs. Gun selection is amazing...each gun is good and has a quality punch-you-in-the-gut sound to it.
- Cons: Graphics are lackluster until about 1/4 through the game. Levels range from being extremely above-par design to average design.
- Other Thoughts: Excellent plot, excellent voice acting. Plot is underrated and is NOT the typical WWII story. Resistance: Fall of Man has the best level design out of any FPS I've played except for Bioshock.
Fantastic Game!
- Pros: Great graphics, great controls, great fun. This is an exciting first-person shooter that can leave you nervous and giddy. Playing online is nice, too, and extends gameplay beyond the story. Medium difficulty is just that, which I like (can't stand too easy or too hard games). I'm going back to check out level hard.
- Cons: Sometimes I get dizzy while playing. Maybe it's the tv.

- Pros: the game looks nice on the tv screen. especially on HD.
you can see alot of great details surrounding you. some of the guns were interesting in the game.
- Cons: the playability factor is terrible. the game doesnt have any "touch". its just here i am come get me and i will shoot more bullets than you. i also didnt know that bullets fly much slower than people and monsters move...
- Other Thoughts: i cant believe this game was one of the first games that came out for the ps3...
Resistance: Fall Of Man
- Pros: I love this game! I love the controls associated with this game, the weapons/zoom controls, the story, the creatures, the search and destroy mindset. They throw in a few good open battlefield senarios which I loved. Typically, you're on your own most of the time. It feels good when you encounter some of your own friendlies. There are some good adrenaline pumping encounters. A must buy!
- Cons: Somewhat on the easy side...but for me it's all good.
Super Fast Delivery & Free
- Pros: I ordered a PS3 title on March 2nd @ noon my time ( EST ).. I received the game on March 3rd @ 10 A.M.. Did I mention that the shipping was free also.?.. Unbeleivable !!!!
- Cons: NONE !!!!
- Other Thoughts: I'm an IT tech starting my own business and order from no other...
