1 out of 5 eggsTrendnet Camera

Pros: Bought on sale. Price was good

Cons: This camera is useless if aimed in the direction of the sun even if the camera itself is in the shade. everything gets washed out. Eventually it failed after a few months. Ave your money and get a Panasonic.

Other Thoughts: I've bought many ethernet Panasonic cameras from Newegg over many years and everyone of them is still working.

5 out of 5 eggsNice IP PTZ

Pros: Listen, for the price this thing is FANTASTIC! I don't want to even hear people complaining about this or that, you are getting a PTZ IP based security cam for UNDER $150 bones! I can remember a few years back when this stuff was MEGA bucks! I can't wait to get a few more!

Cons: It's CHEAP (price wise) so, you are not going to get the high end features found on the big dogs, but, you already know that, right??? The build quality is okay, get it mounted and then don't fuzuck with it, again, you are paying a small amount, so it will not be tank build like the big expensive guys... For basic security, I find this to be a good camera and deal!

Other Thoughts: EASY device to setup, you really don't need to install any software if you can log into your server / router to find the IP of the camera and then log right into it... East to use software, just trigger the needed ports to be forwarded and bingo, you can view anything from anywhere!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Security Netcam

Pros: Bought these to monitor the front and rear of the house and they've been running for a year, without any issues. Solid build and they are compatible with all the better monitoring apps for BlackBerry, Android, etc. You can also find the code on the net and make your own website. Great warranty (3 years) and easy to configure.

Cons: The resolution is VGA quality, so it would have been nice to see the option to go higher; however, you can still make out faces. This model does not do night video. You'll need to pay more for the model above. Doesn't have optical zoom, but for the price, it does a good job.

4 out of 5 eggsStill working fine

Pros: Inexpensive and works as advertised. Lasted the winter mounted up under the eve of my garage. Motors still work witrh no locking-up or reset issues. Rock soilid so far.

Cons: Manual focus

Other Thoughts: I disassembled ther unit and removed the IR filter to increase night response. Worked great, I can see a bit better in low light conditions... but an IR floodlight would dramatically help it out. If I get a chance I'll upload a tut video in case you want to remove the IR filter as well.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great for me - Some limitations

Pros: Fast Interface, Quick setup, Does what it says

Cons: Resolution Crispness Is Limited, Triggered Video Recording N/A, Lacks an overwrite feature.

Other Thoughts: The camera was easy to setup, works very well with a fast interface. In 15min had it setup streaming video to a URL and sending triggered stills to my FTP server. I love all of that. The picture could be better, I really doubt someone could be identified solely based on the video or images from this camera. I also did not see the feature to overwrite a directory. Captured stills start taking up space quickly and I would love if I could say.. keep 4 days or a week's worth of still triggers then overwrite, rather than having to delete manually. I would also love the option to trigger video captures and specify them also. But for the price I think it is a good deal, it does what I need it to which is remotely monitor when my employees come in and leave the office.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: best for the money. Fairly easy to setup. Excellent pictures and video.

Cons: 3 seconds delay between each capture. Night mode could be improve.

Other Thoughts: I have search for an IP camera for a while until I see this up onsale 40% off the regular price and good review so I grab one. This camera is very good until I got all the setup working. Here is some what I discover during setup:
1. Some SMTP email server requires authenticate, some not so I you could not get it to work, try other.
2. I use it for outdoor and during bright day, it white out. But after I change it to outdoor mode, it works awsome.
Overall, I like this camera alot and I will buy one more to setup at the back door when I have time.

4 out of 5 eggsIncompatible

Pros: Works if you have all TV-IP410

Cons: Will not work with IP-TV400

Other Thoughts: If you have some of the older models like I do make sure to call manufactor first, I have found that IP Cameras are not standar and they will not work when mix...

5 out of 5 eggsStill functions well after one year usage

Pros: I use it as a monitor in a remote house. Set it up to take pictures using motion detection and send pictures to a FTP server. It works well so far.

Cons: I would be better if it can take photo immediately after motion detected. There's about 3 seconds delay. Not really a con.

Other Thoughts: I ranked it with 2 eggs one year ago. I could not change that ranking. To be fair, at the price I paid, it deserves 5 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood image and features

Pros: Video works in ZoneMinder
Admin Interface accessible in IE and Firefox (windows and linux)
Great image quality
Compact size for a P/T cam
8 Programmable targets
Wide panning range

Cons: This is only a con if you plan to use the cam with ZoneMinder...the controls for P/T arent natively supported in zoneminder, but I saw a patch on the net you can install to do that.
The camera doesnt have the ability to tilt 'down' very far(or 'up' if mounted on ceiling)...this isn't an issue for me personally since the cam is mounted on the ceiling, I have no need to look up further.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good solid product with good image and features for the money ...I bought this on sale which makes it even better.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera

Pros: The camera has a great image but you do have to manual focus it after you install it. I have it set for record with motion and I caught kids roaming through our church the first night. The panning is great and I can look at the hallways from the internet at home. Tech support told me you can not recycle the video, but they called back in a matter of minutes and told me they were wrong and how to set it up to record over you old video. WOW

Cons: You can set points that the camera goes right to on the internet but you have to manual move the camera on the software that it comes with. You guys need to add that to the secureview software. The setup features on the software need to have more of a GUI setup.

Other Thoughts: I was very surprised at what a good image a got from such an affordable camera.
