5 out of 5 eggsA Decent Indoor CCD Camera

Pros: A decent indoor camera with a clear picture. Comes with a power adapter. Easy to install and adjust. Works well with low lux.

Cons: Doesn’t work at night with no lights. It will be great if it comes with IR LEDs.

Other Thoughts: This camera comes with a F2.0 lens so I installed it about 20 feet away from my front door. I can see people’s face clear when the door is closed. However, when the door is opened, I can’t see people’s face. I thought the DSP feature would make difference when the back light is bright but I was wrong. Also, when the door is open, the color of outside image is all washed out. I did some research online and find out I need a camera with WDR feature. I guess this camera is designed to be installed indoor and point to inside of a room.

1 out of 5 eggsPick another :(

Pros: Nice looking dome housing for the price (it's shiny).
Mounting is nicely adjustable.

Cons: Black shroud is offset (on mine) and blocks part of the view.
Low light sensitivity is VERY poor for a CCD.
Daylight washes it out easily (green grass in TN looks like fresh snow).
Color is so weak it looks like a B/W camera.
Picture is horribly grainy (grains are fixed in the image when you move it, so it's the sensor itself).

Other Thoughts: My $13 CMOS cameras outperform this on every level... I mistakenly bought this as an upgrade. Had I bought it closer to my trip when I installed it, I would have returned it to Newegg (it's now over the 30 day mark).

Do yourself a huge favor and buy item N82E16881381039 instead - opposite end of the spectrum.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price

Pros: It gives you a picture.
The picture quality is commensurate with the price.

Cons: Color is washed out, resolution is poor, and low light performance is abysmal.
It is difficult to to make out details at 15feet even in daylight.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. If you want to tell if someone walked in front of the camera, it will work. Do not expect to be able to recognize the person unless the are right in front of the camera.

5 out of 5 eggsA good CCD cam

Pros: CCD, a good price,
Clear pictures and fast adjustments to light changes and conditions.

Cons: No adopter for Video composite input on most TVs and computer

Other Thoughts: It has been good enough that it is on my desktop now and have used it as webcam that functioning better than other cameras I have.
Will get another one to keep an eye on the dog around.
Just got the adopter to composite and connected to computer and has been on since day one.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: CCD lens, small, great picture very good low light picture. can be removed fron dome easily really tiny then.

Cons: No adapter to use RCA instead of BNC but for this price 5$ for a adapter is still worth it.

Other Thoughts: these CCD cameras have really come down on price why use a cmos camera when these CCD are so cheap now. 1/3 inch is better than my 1/4 inch super sony ccd bullet cam, more field of view and slightly bigger better picture. been working great over a month straight now, no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Clear picture, low lux, low price.

Cons: No video power / cord or RCA adapter is included in package.

Other Thoughts: This a real gem for the price. It has a clear color picture in the daylight and provides a decent B/W picture with little light at night. I did not want to be bothered with drilling holes through the walls to install a cable, just set up in the window and with a low wattage outside light I can keep an eye on the deck. Now that I know how well it works, I am ordering one or two more to add to my security dvr. And of course Newegg's delivery was quick as usual.
