No complaints, just praise
- Pros: This head unit is amazing, especially for the price. Bluetooth calling is great. iPod control is easy. Sound quality is great. You can't go wrong with this unit.
- Cons: I haven't found any.
- Other Thoughts: It must be noted that the menu system isn't super user friendly, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. To the user that commented on the screen colors inverting. You need to turn off the reverse mode. Most of the annoying features on Pioneer decks can be turned off, you just have to search the manual.
NOKIA 5130
- Pros: ANOTHER COMMENT TO LET PEOPLE KNOW. I JUST GOT A NOKIA 5130 AND IT HOOKS UP FOR BLUETOOTH AUDIO AND BLUETOOTH CALLING WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I HOOKED IT UP, PUT THE SELECTOR ON BT AUDIO, AND AWAY IT WENT PLAYING THE MUSIC OFF OF MY PHONE.
- Cons: NONE, YOU KIDDING ME?
- Other Thoughts: DON'T HESITATE, JUST GET IT.
Phonebook Transfer Works with Blackberry Curve OS 4.5!!!
- Pros: I purchased and installed this unit just recently and have become enamored with it since! Installation on my 98' Jetta wasn't too bad when i purchased an car-specific harness adapter, and the sound quality is simply great. I purchased the iPod cable separately and the unit drives the iPod just wonderfully. I especially love that it pauses your song whenever you turn off your car and starts right back up where it left off when you turn it back on!
The Bluetooth calling/phone feature is the best part of this unit. The sound quality on both ends is fantastic. People i talk to can hear me just fine, i can hear them great over my stereo, and there is no echo despite how loud i turn the volume up!
- Cons: Changing options is a bit of a pain, nothing too bad though.
- Other Thoughts: The reason i wanted to post this review is because i finally got my Blackberry Curve (8330) to transfer over my entire phonebook. I did upgrade recently to OS 4.5 and apparently it works despite everyone here and every forum i read saying it could not be done! Mostly likely the new OS 4.5 allowed it to work. It took a bit of tinkering; once i had it set to transfer phonebook on the headunit, it disconnected my BBerry. However, i waited till it reconnected then went to bluetooth on the phone and sent my phonebook from the phone, and it received it all! Joy! Now i can dial straight from the stereo, and when someone calls it shows their name!
Hope this helps! I've been struggling with the Blackberry transfer thing for quite some time... i just can't let things rest. Having to manually enter phonenumber wasn't something i was looking forward to. Hope this helps someone!!!!!
