Are you sick of your stock cassette/CD player and long for listening to music in a number of ways whilst in the car, whether it's on the radio, on CD or stored on a digital music player? The DEH-1100MP from Pioneer just might be the one you want!
The DEH-1100MP is compatible with most commonly used digital music formats including MP3, WMA and WAV files. With Pioneer’s Supertuner IIID technology, the receiver provides exceptional FM and AM reception -- and it doesn't scrimp on sound quality. The 8-character LCD display clearly shows you the band, frequency, track name, elapsed playback time and more.
Pioneer puts the AUX input on the front panel for easy access when you want to plug in a MP3 player or other external auxiliary device. If that isn’t enough entertainment you can connect your iPod to the built-in USB port for even more playback options. Combine that with the included remote control and you can select music off your iPod, wirelessly! Expand your listening options with the DEH-1100MP from Pioneer!

Good Buy
- Pros: Aside from the obvious specs, I'm impressed with Pioneer's build quality. Similar decks from Sony, Kenwood, JVC, and Dual all felt cheap and flimsy compared to Pio's offering. I strongly prefer their tactile feel and design, and the price is very competitive. Alpine decks have a good feel to them too, but cost $30 to $50 more.
- Cons: No USB input, no Ipod control.
- Other Thoughts: This is the third time I have shopped for a deck under $150, and the second time I've gone with Pioneer. If this one performs like the one in my old truck, I'll be very pleased. My total cost for the deck, harness, dash kit, and self-installation was about $110-- about a hundred dollars less than I was quoted from stores around town. It's hard to beat this deal.
Superior Sound
- Pros: great sound quality. nice interface. easily customizable. for those who dont know alot about electronics , this is as easy as it gets for quality sound.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: mabe make it possible to change the display color setup for once.

Fantastic Budget Head Unit
- Pros: High quality build. Doesn't feel "cheap" or flimsy like most head units do.
Has great sound (even when cranked up) and tons of features.
Very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. No stupid flashing lights, or gaudy bright blue and red LEDs. In fact, that is a lot of the reason why I chose this unit, because it looks "classy" as opposed to "tacky."
They price is great, and it's even dropped $15 since I bought it a few months ago. You really can't go wrong.
- Cons: Ability to change the display color might have been nice (to match your stock radio).
- Other Thoughts: Make sure you know what you're doing if you go to install this. The one star review on here I'm sure is because the guy didn't know what he was doing. It's not a terribly hard thing to figure out, but I have to do some finessing to get it in my Accord (that was the dash kit's fault though, not the unit's).
Also, if you didn't know, they have this same unit but with red lights instead of green, if that's your thing.
nice for the price
- Pros: Good sound quality, great price, many features
- Cons: Have troubles switching sources without the remote, but only because I didn't bother to read the directions I'm sure lol!
- Other Thoughts: You can not beat the quality and price from this deck, would recommend to anyone looking to get in under $100
