Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Clear Highs Overall Rich sound Can handle movies and music So much power from such a small package Great Bang for the Buck
Cons: They do not sell extra speakers for 7.1 Will require a sub for low end bass
Other Thoughts: Where do I start, I have never actually heard energy speakers, but heard good things about them. I was a bit skeptical since the price of the speakers were so low, but I took a shot. I originally had the Onkyo ht-s6100, which was a great system overall , but lack the detail I am used to. The receiver was great, so i needed to replace the sub and speakers. I replaced the sub with the BIC H-100, which is a definite must see if you are on a budget. Searching for speakers I first looked at the klipsch quintet, but stumbled upon the energy speakers. I took a chance a purchased these speakers , and I needed 7.1, but energy doesn't sell extra speakers, but do like i did, I bought 2 sets, and sold the others off and it paid for itself. I put in blu ray of punisher war zone which is 7.1 dts-hd ma, and let me tell you my ears were nearly bleeding, but these speakers give such a clear and detailed sound. Check cnet.com, sound and vision, and home theater mag, and they all rave about this system

Great Speakers

Pros: First off, these speakers take the basic design of Energy's high end Canadian Speakers, before they went over sea's. This system matched with the Klipsch 10" sub and Onkyo 606 reciever will blow you away...and may even rival the BOSE lifestyle systems and will crush there cube speakers alone. You will need to get decent grade, solid core speaker wires and V1.3 hdmi cables to do you justice, if hooking up to a Blu-ray. PS3 is awsome...get one as well, I did, run hd audio in multi-channel through reciever. But again, great speakers for the price, small, and accurate, and can be a great system depending on what you get. Speakers best in a medium to small room, not great in a large room.
Cons: The piano gloss finish scratches easy, but you will find that true on most speakers or objects with same style finish. Not much of a con, but they are lacking in a larger room, so if you have a thearter room, I would only have them set up 3m max from the front 3 speakers and 2m for the back. That will sound perfect, but it is really the room and the equipement that determins the set up.
Other Thoughts: These speakers will not take a pounding for a long time, so if you listen to music loud, and intertain a lot, then they may not be the best for you. Best as a thearter speaker system. Do not skimp on the wires and other hardware...trash in, trash out.

Pros: Amazing sound quality, build quality, and overall quality. I would say great sound for the price, but that would be an insult to the speakers. These are amazingly accurate speakers....no...speaker is not the right word, monitor...that is the word. Good price, fast shipping, NewEgg...once again, A+ for all.
Cons: Nothing really. If I HAD to pick on something it would be the finish. When they say piano glossy black, they mean it. They are glossy black like a nice shiny car. Not a con for me, but the pics make them look a little more flat then they are. FYI if your trying to match flat black components.
Other Thoughts: They are great. I picked up a new 7.1 receiver, 2 Polk Monitor 60s as front mains, and this Energy pack to round out my 7.1 surround ( I already have a sub). I'm still waiting on some other stuff to get it all set up, but I decided to plug two of these into my old receiver just to listen to some music and test them out. Two of the satellites...just two, by themselves...and I find myself listening to most of my CDs again, for the first time! In other news, if you have no idea about this sort of thing, you will need a sub for 5.1, or a decent set of large fronts and a sub (7.1), to get real bass out of the system. They are small speakers, thus, given the laws of physics cannot "shake your rump", but when paired with a sub, or good fronts and/or a sub...I can't imagine finding something better for twice the price. These are some of the clearest little speakers I have ever heard. Its almost a shame that I will only be using them for surround duty.

Pros: Sound Quality Construction Size Value Versatility
Cons: Recommended 50 hour break in period - I get it, but I want to crank these things!
Other Thoughts: These speakers are made with precision and care. For the size of the speaker, they have some good weight to them which to me, indicates a higher quality of components inside. From the get go, the sound quality is fantastic...the lows are clear and highs are even moreso. It sounds so clean similar to reference speakers...which these are not obviously. My old speakers that came with my receiver had the dynamic range of a ham sandwich...the same source opened up a world of other frequencies. Even my wife noticed the difference.
Energy/Klipsch warns of pushing them too hard, too fast. They encourage you to break it in for about 50 hours or so. As much as I wanted to crank these to see what they could do, I was happy to have the warning from the vendor.

Pros: Great sound with a variety of sources... Rock, Jazz, Country, Movies. I couldn't be more pleased and I'm very picky. I shopped for 6 months and decided on these. Great price, and the speakers are perfectly small. I coupled the Take 5 with an Energy subwoofer ESW-V8 and they're a great match. I have an awesome speaker system (with a Sony DTS receiver) for less than $400 - amazing.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have a tweeter and 2 drivers on the center channel, instead of 1, but.....
