Pros: Super Sweet sound. So far, best wall mount stands.
Cons: Glossy finish is a finger print magnet. I prefer matte finish but that is just me being picky.
Other Thoughts: For the price, these speakers produce sweet sound. Very crisp and loud.

Rating: 5/5Just what I needed-great for movies
Pros: Black Friday deal-Oh yeah! The Only reason I got these was because I was getting a new TV for the front room and I wasn't giving up my surround sound that I have halfway set up in the bedroom (3.1 system). I knew what I was getting into getting speakers of this size since I couldn't use my Klipsh huge box of a center and my rather ugly black boxes I made that house 6-1/2" Pheonix Gold coaxials. Girl friend would not allow for the front room. My original plan was to go in-ceiling speakers, but I just couldn't afford it. The sound is clear and punchy- impressive for the size. Is it as clear and full range as my 6-1/2" speakers? no. But I had to sacrifice sound quality for space. Overall, I am happy with what I paid for the sound I got for the size of the speaker. They do get loud and stay tight and only start to distort at mid low frequencies. Low freq-forget about it- match it with a sub.
Cons: The wire clip is just a tad too small. Not a big deal really. I have these hooked up to a receiver that supplies 80 watts per channel. I got these on black Friday and waited to do this review when I got them installed for the full immersion. When directly compared to my 6-1/2" PG's, you immediately notice that at around 160hz (my guess) it starts to fallow. Even with a sub to pick up the lows, you get a little bass void 160-120hz that is just missing. You also notice the sound is just not as relaxed as a larger speaker through-out all ranges. There is also just the smallest hint of that distortion that comes from plastic cases. I am not taking an egg off for these because I understand it is the nature off a small speaker. You only really notice these when listening to music attentively. For movies, and background music, they really are great.
Other Thoughts: Thanks to BlazingPC's review, I knew more what I was getting. I am very happy with these speakers, especially the price I paid for them. For the full MSRP $$, I would go in-ceiling full size.

Pros: Replaced a Yamaha set about 4x the size with larger and double the amount of drivers per enclosure. These sound every bit as good when used with an external sub. The included wall brackets are great
Cons: While the wide-dispersion array does fill the room with sound, it does make placement a bit harder, especially if the rear surrounds are in corners. It would be a bit better if the driver placement was at 90 degrees rather than ~120 degrees. As others have mentioned, the spring clip openings are rather small. Using 14 gauge wire takes a bit of work to get in. Those are the reasons for the loss of 1 egg.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend to others. I have become a Polk fan over the years, going from Rockford Fosgate, Kenwood, Pioneer, Kicker, and now to Polk speakers in different applications. (auto/home)

Rating: 3/5Good for the price
Pros: Great price. I only paid $179. Small size and nice looking cabinets. Includes stand and wall mount. Descent sound quality.
Cons: Sound quality not as expected from speakers with $600 sticker price. Maybe I expected too much but they dont sound as nice as the speakers they were supposed to be replacing. Sound is just slightly washed out with muffled highs and lows. Would have never noticed if I didnt run side by side with old speakers (Polk Series 2).
Other Thoughts: Over all good value. Makes great surround speakers on a budget. (minus the sub).
Price doubled the week after I purchased. Now at $350.

Rating: 5/5Great for $300, get them cheaper too!
Pros: I loved these things when I got them for $299, and now they're available cheaper. Took a while to setup because they don't come with a receiver so you have to buy one. They sound amazing for how small they are. I don't have any complaints at all. I compared these with a few others in price, dynamic range, power, etc... there were several equals, but they all cost more. This is an economic win.
Cons: It didn't install itself

Pros: nice mounting hardware, my audyse calibration put in a 150hz crossover freq which is correct for these speakers. sounds good baby.
Cons: my wife saying, "if we can afford $200 speakers, we can afford......" Hi honey!!
Other Thoughts: the spring clips are a little bit of a pain to put wire into, but they are the same as my old infinity satelite speakers.

Pros: I was looking at these & noticed the reviews that said spk wires fall out to fix dubble or tripple your wire at the end or use a speaker wire pin conector or but_ conector or silver solder wire end or tie end of wire in a naught & buying 14& 12 guage wire for sat spks is wasted money .
Cons: no cons but polk is not noted for heavy bass unless your using one of there better subs .
Other Thoughts: hope this helps

Pros: These speakers are wonderful. They have a full, rich, enveloping sound. They look good when placed properly. They put out great sound when playing music.
Cons: Not a con for the quality of the speakers, rather, the packaging to make it clearer that these are left and right placement speakers. You have to look at the bottom of each speaker for proper placement.
Other Thoughts: You should by these speakers and then get a pair of Pold RM8's to make it full 7.1 surround sound.

Rating: 4/5Great for home theater, but not musical
Pros: Great dispersion as advertised. Highs are excellent and clear down to high-mids. For home theater they pack quite a punch, you will not notice their small size. The center delivers clear voices down to the low male register. Overall these are a great value for the price they can be had, if you are looking at speakers this size for home theater they will not disappoint.
Cons: Low mids are quite muddy (-1 egg given their obvious 95Hz rating, I should have known) This included diverse music from many bands and even solo artists. Some songs sounded nice, most somewhat muddled, some horrible. In a mix of rock, pop, metal, alternative, opera, and harder to classify artists.
Other Thoughts: For music I found them lacking enough to eat the restocking fee and return them. The low mids don't detract from home theater listing; the distortion in those sounds isn't distracting (explosions and such), but rock, pop, and anything that passed significant lows from my PSW505 sub set at 100Hz crossover (tried 80 and 150Hz also) sounded bad enough that I had to return them. Please note the more casual listener will not likely notice, 2 of 3 people I demonstrated them for thought they sounded great. It is the audiophile on a budget that will suffer. I decided to spend twice as much and go with 2 pair of Polk Tsi200 and the CS10 center. They sound fantastic and are just what I wanted. Polk is an awesome value, I was just simply too cheap to get what I needed for both home theater AND music. FYI: I am using a Pioneer VSX-1020-k, with the iPod direct connection, mostly 320K MP3, some 256VBR MP3. Tried sound retriever on and off, MCACC auto-EQ settings, bell-curve, a few other EQ. No-g

Pros: I purchased these speakers to replace my 12 year old JBL "Simply Cinema" satellites.
I was considering the Mirage Nanosat Prestige 5 set, but once I saw that this set was on sale for a very low price, I figured it was worth a try.
I was pleasantly surprised to open the box and find that the enclosures themselves have an attractive high gloss black finish.
The opposing drivers featured on the 4 satellites do provide increased sound immersion. I positioned the speakers as shown in the manual and I am very happy with the overall sound quality.
The center channel features 2 drivers and tweeter in a more standard configuration. Overall, I have found that the dialogue is clear with this center channel.
I am using this set with a Polk PSW110 with a Pioneer VSX-1019, crossover set at 150 HZ and am quite pleased with the results.
Is this set up audiophile quality? No, but if you're looking for a quality satellite/center channel package and are on a budget, you can't
Cons: As indicated in previous reviews, you must use a minimum of 16 gauge wiring, otherwise the speaker wires will just fall out.
Speaker stand options are VERY limited, as most speaker stands are designed to accommodate speakers with a screw on the rear of the enclosure. The RM8 satellites have a screw at the bottom of the enclosure.
I am not willing to purchase on the Polk SA3 stands (which are supposed to work with both the RM7 and RM8 speakers), as owners of the RM8's indicate that they are having issues mounting them to the SA3's securely. Therefore, I will have to find another way to mount these speakers to my existing stands, or wall mount them.
Other Thoughts: Unbelievably fast delivery. Granted, I live in CA, but I ordered these at 2PM on Tuesday and they were at my door the next evening.
