Other Thoughts: Bought this for a belated Christmas present. Wanted a no frills basic digital photo frame with no audio and/or video. This fit the bill perfectly for my mother (65) who is NOT techy. I just load up the pics and put the card in for her. I've never changed any settings. It uses random transitions and it's a great basic frame that is economical. Great photos on the screen.

Pros: The ViewSonic Photoframe, is worth the price when I got it for a deal of 42.99. Very high clarity of photos, and good speed too. It reads within folders too, like I plugged my SDHC card from digital camera into it, and it played them flawlessly. The 10MP photos were being loaded onto the screen easily. The unit has an On-Off switch, which helps rather plugging the adaptor out. The AC Adaptor has rating - 110-240v.

Cons: The screen when viewed at a wide angle shows the picture to be darkened or sometimes inverted (negative). So it had to be placed in a location where the view angle is always correct.
The controls for setup, changing image, play/pause etc are on the back side, and since the unit has no Remote Control, this becomes difficult to do the setup.
Most Photoframes have settings like Clock/Calendar, which this one Lacks.

Other Thoughts: A Remote for doing setup, play/pause, would have been good. An extra option for clock display would have been good.

Pros: low price with great resolution
good size for a desk at work or home

Shop around and you will not find an 8 inch frame that is 800x600 for this cheap!

Menu is basic and easy to navigate.

Viewing angle seems pretty good though it's not excellent.

Cons: DOES NOT WORK WITH A MICRO SD CARD AND SD ADAPTER!

I was a little disappointed that it did not work with my micro sd card and adapter I had laying around. Oh well...

Frame is a fingerprint magnet.

No remote.

No shuffle.

Other Thoughts: The frame does come off by pressing two small buttons at the bottom. Seems like it's the perfect size for a 5 x 7 photo frame, so I might try attaching it to a wooden frame.

It gets the job done and I would buy it again for myself or for relatives as a gift.

+I put a 16MB SD Flash card filled with pics to make a nostalgic gift. Roughly 150 pics on there.
+Size is perfect for a desk photo frame.
+Transition effects gets people to look.
+Backlight makes photos look crisp.
+It can read several types of memory cards, even USB.
+The frame is shiny and looks fancy.

Cons: -Prepare to hold it with a cloth because it's a fingerprint magnet.
-Memory card only inserted halfway, seemed kind of flimsy design.

Other Thoughts: Spent an hour resizing and rearranging the pics to make it random and to insert messages here and there.

Pros: After combing the reviews, I came up with this one as a Valentine's gift for a first-time frame owner, and it made a happy little girl. Great use of frame space and picture quality, and it's easy to set up.

Cons: You'll be disappointed if you don't read the fine print (no internal memory) and don't have a memory card on hand. They're so cheap that it hardly adds to the purchase decision, though.

The lack of a shuffle feature was noticed, but she found out that the order is dependent on when the picture is loaded or some such. So while you can't dynamically shuffle, you can create different slideshows.

Pros: Very nice digital frame for the money. It works well and the size is perfect. The pictures all look great.

Other Thoughts: I might buy a few more. You might wanna turn it off at night if you have it in a bedroom
