LG 47" 1080p 120Hz Wireless LCD HDTV 47LH85

Pros: Great picture. Wireless is excellent. 5.1 sound output.

Cons: Fan in media unit runs even when off. Is irritating because it is in the bedroom. Flicking switch off on back will turn it completely off.

Screen failed after 15 months. Just out of warranty.

Other Thoughts: Nice tv when it worked. I don't know why there aren't more wireless units like this one.

Pros: I am not a TV guru but can identify the clarity. This is one of the greatest TV we have ever used. Stunning picture quality. We like the USB port which plays most of the audio/video formats including .mkv files. Haven't tried for pictures yet.
Good to have the media box and no cable lying on the walls. kept media box just below the TV but still works good.

Cons: 2 minor things to note as media box doesn't pickup signal very well sometimes and the audio quality isn't that great as advertised/expected.

Other Thoughts: overall great product. if you are planning to purchase a tv less than 50' then just go for this and you won't regret. Newegg service is great so far.

Other Thoughts: It DOES NOT take 10sec to turn on and 20sec to connect to the mediabox. It takes about 3 sec to turn on and about 5-7sec to connect to the mediabox.

Pros: Beautiful, clear HD picture

120 Hz makes everything very smooth

Wireless keeps cords looking better, offers more options for your set up.

Sound is great, I've never had to turn it up beyond half the max volume

TON of inputs. PS3, 360, PC, Wii, PS1, DVD player all attached and I still have a ton of inputs available.

Cons: Takes about 30 seconds to turn on. It takes about 10 to actually turn on, and then about 20 to connect to the Media Box. Kind of annoying, but not unbearable.

Wish it had more options for input labeling. An onscreen keyboard for custom labeling would be nice, but either way it's not terribly helpful to have 4 inputs labeled Game.

Other Thoughts: Got this TV on sale for 900, but it's a steal at twice that price. I definitely recommend it as it's an amazing TV. Be warned that 120 Hz TV (the difference is noticeable even on non HD channels) and movies takes a little getting used to, but just makes Blu Ray movies and current generation games that much more incredible.

Pros: Wireless was a nice surprise and works surprisingly well. I didn't even know it had the feature when I ordered! Shipping was FAST!! If you want to hardwire the media box (and NOT use wireless), just run an HDMI cable from the "service only" port on the media box to the HDMI IN port on the TV.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The TV should have audio outputs on the TV itself, not just the media box (what if you want to hook up speakers to the TV but all of your other components are on the other side of the room hooked to you media box?

Pros: hi def wireless signal, beautiful black border, power indicator light, plenty of HDMI, component, etc hook-ups on hub

Cons: remote could have better layout, no s-video

Other Thoughts: I've had this for 5 months now and have had absolutely no problems. I've watched blu ray movies via PS3 and the picture clarity is equal to a non-wireless connection. After leaving on included stand for a month, I mounted on wall and it's perfect. Only the power cord coming down. I still can't believe an HD signal can beam wirelessly, but it does!

Pros: Great looking set, sharp & crisp HD picture, great price if under $950.

Cons: Required software update after installation, extra set top media box (included) takes up space without adding much value, sound quality is average to poor, no picture in picture.

Other Thoughts: Installation was quick and easy, but there was a sound sync issue. Video was 1/2 second behind the sound, which was extremely aggravating. I called LG's support number. After several attempts to reset, the rep came back to say there's a software update that might solve the problem. 3 days later, an LG technician came with software to update both the media box and the tv. I didn't have much confidence in him, but he followed his directions carefully and it solved the problem.

Pros: Picture is clear and TV appearance is great. Wireless feature is the reason I bought it. My cable is not in a good spot. I hung the TV on a wall and the media box is on the other side of the room. The HD Blu Ray DVD's make it look like 3D. Works great! Some have complained about the sound, but I think it is good.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought the LG Blu Ray DVD also and it is a great team. I would recommend this TV and I would also recommend newegg. I will absolutely buy from this site again. Great deals and they deliver.

Pros: Wireless works great - though thought MUST be put into the placement of the media box, which is a bit big. However, the styling matches the TV so I have no personal complaints. If it is outside of a certain range of the TV's receiver, the picture will flicker. The flicker looks terrible and worried me at first until I saw that every time the flicker occurred, the signal strength was very low. The picture looks fantastic! Blacks are deep, colors are vibrant....its just a real pleasure to watch things on this TV

Cons: Small con is the necessity to place the media box within certain range of the TV. Its not a problem for me, but others may need to consider this. I wonder if a wireless speaker system will interfere with the wireless TV signal?

Other Thoughts: Ordering from NewEgg was great and I will use their service whenever possible. I was worried about ordering a big ticket item like this online (due to the perils of delivery) but this experience was great. AIT was the delivery company and I would rate them 5 eggs as well. In a day when most companies give you the: "We'll be there between 8am-3pm" making you wait all day, AIT was EXTREMELY accurate with their times. The first call told me they would deliver between 12pm-2pm, and the driver would call an hour before. He called at noon and said he would be at the house between 1pm-1:05pm!!!! A five minute window?!? But he nailed it. I think he actually showed up at 12:55 but waited until 1 to knock. Super awesome! Package had a hole in it, which he noted after bringing the set inside, but everything was fine with the unit.

Pros: Great picture and wireless feature is just awesome!

Cons: Don't expect much from the built-in speakers

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the $899 I paid for it
