1 out of 5 eggsnot a good but

Pros: it lasted for 32 day

Cons: black line on far left of screen. New egg will not replace because i throw out the box. LG rep has been to my house twice so far and still has to order a screen now. It has been broke for three weeks and the reps did not know how long the part would take to come in. LG rep has a very negative attitude and told me that this TV is junk and he fixes them all day everyday.

Other Thoughts: LG customer service was prompt on phone all the times I called. I was not even mad about the broken TV. Until the negative repair guy came. I read the reviews I felt I was making a good purchase. I dont think I would buy from an online dealer again. New egg left me hanging over a cardboard box

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Plasma HDTV for the Price

Pros: Looks good ,picture is sharp ,I have the 1080p 50PS60 but if you are setting 8 to 10 feet away it is really hard to tell a difference,on some of my TV it looks sharper ,but that may be plecebo effect since I know it is 1080p.easy to set-up.The blacks and colors are so sharp it is very detailed.

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: on blu-rays it show it in 1080p 24p the same as mine. The only thing where the 720p hurts is if you hook it up to a PC.It has just a 1360x768 compared to mine which has 1920x1080.other then that I would say if you are not worried about a PC ,then save some money .The 50PS60 does have other features like THX and a few other extras ,but I still think this one looks better then a LCD HDTV and a lot cheaper.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Nice

Pros: Beautiful TV (pretty) front glass, HD Resolutions, Price is amazing!, Great settings menus, power saving built in, super smooth looking, plasma, yes it actually does 1080, it swivels 20 deg.

Cons: Pretty heavy/Bulky, Burn-in possibility, Blacks are not super deep blacks but so much better than most lcd's. The glass can cause a lot of glare, with light. Uses almost 3 X more power than lcds. Almost too big for the spot assigned, shipping from freight company. My Time Warner box doesn't even have LG as an option for remotes :(

Other Thoughts: the native res is 720, but easily does 1080 at 60hz it says so in the manual. Can't tell if Cable is 720 or 1080, but it really looks good. Make sure you have enough room. For the first 50-100 viewing hours I was told to keep the contrast ratio down (50?) to minimize burn-in. Should have bought from newegg, they were sold out when I bought. Very happy with this TV; for this price Unbeatable

4 out of 5 eggsPickyguyhappy

Pros: Price. Affordability in the 50" class plasmas through LG
Solid Construction, sleek glossy black finish
No annoying bright led display buttons :)
easy stand assembly, realy easy
Beautiful picture, colors deep, rich
Sound is impressively clean and not distorted

Cons: not 1080P

Other Thoughts: Could have purchased an lg 42 lcd 120hz, after looking back and forth, back and forth, I liked the LG plasma's responsiveness, rich colors, glass pane makes colors look even richer. Huuuge screen is awesome. I just had to get it. Got it for 775 here. Cant go wrong. Oh yea, and if ps3 hooked you get 1080p and 1080i on comcast

5 out of 5 eggsGood Plasma

Pros: This is just what you expected. 50" plasma. What i liked the most is how they have lots of connection at the back.. enough for my cable, blue ray, wii and other.

Cons: yes, 720P is not as good as 1080p, but really, it's all mental.. i can't tell the different between this LG 50 than my "digital lifestyle" (haha) 42" 1080 LCD. and for saving like 400 dollars (50% of the investment) you won't regard this

Other Thoughts: Hooked up w/ my LG "Out of the box" Home theater system, in just 5 seconds... super easy to set up!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome TV For The $$$

Pros: This TV came straight out of the box ready to fire up. Loved it when I saw it at the store, and went straight to the computer and did price search to find that NEWEGG had the best deal! NEWEGG shipped it for free too. Got it in 1 week after purchase and loving it. Clarity for a 720p is superb!

Cons: None thus far.

Other Thoughts: One of the best deals I've gotten this year.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Excellent picture, menus are easy to navigate, lots of advanced picture controls if you know how to use them, I dont though. I have a upconvert DVD and man do the pictures look freakin awesome. Its like watching everything all over again, I swear I have seen things in movies I have seen previously that I never noticed before. I wanted 1080p, but this 720p is one awesome pictures.

Cons: Not alot of Bass out of the speakers but oh well, Ill be working on sound next. If you put your hand on the back its really warm, but another post said thats all plasmas.

Other Thoughts: I got mislead by a Rental company on this TV, they told me at the place it was 1080p but after I got it and brought it home I researched it and its truly only 720p, but man is this picture great, if this is 720p, I aint in no hurry to upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Awesome picture. I went TV to TV and couldn't tell the difference between this one and some of the TVs that cost twice as much.

Cons: It is only 720p, but I do not have any HD inputs, so that does not bother me.
The USB does not pick up videos (or at least those in the divx/xvid format).
I'm not sure if its my cables or the tv inputs, but the inputs are so close together that my component video cables do not have room to plug all 5 in a row. I had to buy cheap extensions with smaller connectors at the end to get all 5 in for my wii.

Other Thoughts: I bought it at a brick and mortar store because newegg had been out of stock for a while. This is my first flat panel TV, so I do not have much to compare it to other than what I could see in-store. As of yet, I have not tested all of the components (like the vga input). I have some small gripes sure, but for the price, the picture and feature set cannot be beat.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome picture for 720p

Pros: Easy Menus, High contrast, HDMI wakeup, USB, HDMI port on side. Hidden speakers that sound good. Awesome picture in HD.

Cons: Glare (but I expected that). That's the only one so far but its really not a big deal. Most of our TV watching is in the evening. The rest of the family hasn't complained about it.

Other Thoughts: The HD picture is perfect. I have two other LCD's in the house (37", 42") This TV blows them away and they are pretty good. The 1080p version of this TV is about $400 more. It wasn't worth it to me after reading countless reviews on this one. Most couldn't tell the difference between them. I sure can't. I'm also not viewing this LG less than 8ft from the screen. I don't plan to get a Bluray anyway because my Sony upconvert displays DVD's in near HD quality. Why spend all that extra money when its not a night and day comparision. What else is in 1080p that you don't need to pay more for anyway? Nothing. This panel is mounted on my family room wall with custom cabling run to a temp controlled cabinet in my kitchen. It looks great on the wall!! Everyone drools!!!
