Very Nice
- Pros: Beutiful Image, no banding, light, lots of inputs, updateable firmware. the tuner picks up all kinds of digital channels for me. Has picked up new digital signals without having to run the channel finder.
- Cons: The OSD is a little lacking, editing digital channels is a real pain, it doesn't tune into the channels as you are going through to remove the ones you don't want to see. the favorites are poorly done, 4 buttons with 4 channels each.
You can't label channels
- Other Thoughts: I Really do like this tv. the picture is fantastic, I also have a 46" Bravia and I think the picture on the sharp is a little nicer. the default colours are much truer than the sony defaults.
- Pros: Everything about this TV is great, VERY EASY to hook up,remote is easy to understand and I like the OPC feature ( TV adjust to surrounding light in room ) nothing beats an LCD, don't have to worry about images being burnt into the screen. automatically adjust to reception input (480,720,1080 etc.. ) with hi-def reciever
- Cons: nothing about the tv but the delivery, for me if I wasn't home I don't know how 1 guy could have delivered it by himself. The tv is over 100lbs no dolly just pick it up and go

Great TV
- Pros: This TV is large. It has good color and I havn't noticed any outstanding problems with compression in the dark blacks or bright whites.
It has lots of IO and the VGA connector will allow you to drive the screen up to 1600x1200 from a PC (although, if you can, go get a DVI to HDMI cable and drive the TV via that).
The remote feels nice.
- Cons: The TV menus can be a bit confusing because the menus change depending on what state the TV is in. For instance, if you are driving your TV from a computer and hit the "View Mode" button a Dot-by-Dot option will appear. If you are watching TV that option doesn't exist. This could be considered a feature but it does add to the complexity of the settings.
No picture-in-picture.
VGA input can only do 1600x1200, not the native 1920x1080.
- Other Thoughts: If you are having trouble getting a good picture from you PC on this TV. Goto "View Mode" and select "Dot-by-Dot." This will keep the TV from overscanning which is what is causing you to lose an inch or so in each direction of your picture.
WELL RESEARCHED!
- Pros: After looking at most offerings in this class, this Sharp stands out. I was impressed with the solid construction of the set and the stand. It bolts together with 4 SHCS and they even give you a hex key. For my application, the location of the inputs and controls is perfect. The picture even out of the box is spectacular but a bit hot. And, no bad pixels! The menus are intuitive and well organized. The profile is slim and bezel is narrow. The packaging is well engineered, just cut the nylon straps and lift off the box without struggle. With my experience with Sharp over the years, I feel confident not getting an extended warrantee. The paperwork gives a web address for a free 6-month extension on the factory warrantee and a higher level of support if you need it. Sharp is a class act and I like their products. I have a 14-year-old Sharp 25" TV in my bedroom and it's still perfect. I hope the same for this one. You are obviously considering this TV, I would recommend it.
- Cons: The remote is light and has 4 sharp bumps or legs on the bottom, I'm cutting these off, they are uncomfortable. The color needs to be tweaked down a bit; it took me 2 minutes to get a satisfactory picture. The bezel is gloss black and reflects light sources from the room, it's annoying. I plan on sanding it or finding some other way to make it flat black. The infrared pick-up isn't as sensitive as I would like. My old Sharp would pick-up the remote signal with the remote pointed anywhere.
- Other Thoughts: I ordered this on Monday and received it on Wednesday before Noon...BEAT THAT!!! I like the sound even though some audiophiles didn't. It fills the 20 x 15 family room just fine without booming or distortion. The TV fits in my fireplace and I'm looking for a video of a fireplace to play, preferably one with a baby roasting on a spit.
i luv my tv
- Pros: wow how easy, cheap and fantastic. i spent 1 month shoppin around, being patient, and $ cheap. if you pass this tv up, your a fool--:) service perfect, delivery perfect, picture perfect, hdmi speakers(audio)perfect! looked hard at lg, boy am i glad i made this choice. thank you new egg, ups, and my bud brian for helpin. the obvious answer to the #1 question is no i'm not employed by either of the pats on the backs
- Cons: i wish i'd have found these guys along time ago
