Just Right
- Pros: Very easy setup! The software walks you right through everything to get started. I liked the fact that some of the main controls like volume and channel are also on top as well as down below so walking up to the TV if it's not mounted on the wall will give you control without having to crouch down to see them! Good looking cabinet without a bunch of cheesy strips or inlays!!!
- Cons: None!
- Other Thoughts: I didn't put 720p as a con because on a 37" LCD you would lose a bet to really see the difference between 720p & 1080p!!! Realize that a standard TV picture is 480i, the (i) standing for "Interlace" so you can divide that by two so really a standard TV pic is 240 lines! in a 720p, the (p) standing for "Progressive" is a true line by line scan of 720 lines!! Unless you have a 45", 47", 50", etc. screen, on a 37" those 360 extra lines are almost not noticable!! In an average size room bigger is NOT always better. You can save money and have a beautifull TV that is not overwhelming by going 37", even 42", but again, the size difference is negligible The other TV in my house is a 37" 720p Olevia and would have bought another if the company was still in business and everyone raves about the picture! It was a highly rated TV but half of the reason it looks so good is because it's a 37"!!
Do not buy!
- Pros: Picture was good while it lasted.
- Cons: This TV is junk. Would have gave it 0 eggs, but lowest I can give it is one.
- Other Thoughts: I just returned the second one in three months. The quality control at Sharp must be non-existant. The first one was faulty out of the box. Backlight flickered like a strobe light, about gave me a seizure. The second one worked for about 2 months, then the picture started going black on and off. If u have one of these and start hearing a metalic clinking sound from it say bye bye to your picture soon.
This TV ROCKS!
- Pros: This TV is awesome for the price. This is about as low as you are going to find but Newegg has a good replacement warrenty. Its picture is very clear and I love the 3 HDMI ports. Nice looking shinny black outside.
- Cons: There are two things I think are worth mentioning on this TV. One the sound is not great but you can pick up surround sound cheap so dont let that stop you from getting this tv. The second thing is when it gets to dark the tv trys to still make it clear and it almost looks like it goes into power save mode. It is clear to me when it goes from very dark to light.
- Other Thoughts: Overall I love this TV and waited months to make sure it was the one I wanted. I suggest to anyone out there that if you are going to buy it just do it and dont wait you will be happy you did it
