SAMSUNG 46" 1080p LCD HDTV LNS4695D

Pros: Beautiful picture, lots of input variety, and good looking TV in general. /When it works/

Cons: Samsung service sucks. After two weeks of having the tv, my picture began to fail, I immediately called Samsung for support. A week later I had an appointment and had a guy come to my house and replace the main board. A week after that, no picture. Two weeks later had a second tech come with the parts the first tech ordered, a replacement IR receiver and side control panel, neither of which have anything to do with NOT HAVING A PICTURE. Now I have to wait two more weeks for new parts to arrive and have them swapped out to rule out a bad screen, after which I will have to wait 4-8 weeks for a replacement tv.

Other Thoughts: I have had this tv for a month and a half already and it's only worked properly for the first two weeks. Since then, it's been a big black void reminding me of what else I could have been doing with my money. I would not recommend buying an expensive piece of hardware like this considering NewEgg's bulk item policy. I've had no recourse except to write this negative review. It is frustrating. If I had bought this from a retail store, I could have taken it back there and gotten a new one, or had my TV fixed already.

Pros: Man to many pros to list. It's all in the specs man. Plus I got a free PS3 with this TV (THANKS NEWEGG!). really clear picture, blu-rays look amazing and so do all of my PS3 games.

Cons: Cons.... what cons. No problems at all.

Other Thoughts: This PS3 combo was a steal.

Pros: Awesome crisp picture.. 0 dead / stuck pixels (yeahhhhh). Contrast is very good (and no shiny/reflective screen like on the 4665). Setup menus are intuitive and simple.

Cons: None so far (my beef is more with the HD content and the movie studios limiting what features you can use... i.e. single frame advance was not available with the Matrix on HD-DVD!!!!!)

Other Thoughts: Im very very satisified with this set. It was between this set, the 4661 and the 4665 and the Sharps. Most sharp I saw in the stores had stuck pixels on them and I didnt want to take a chance

Pros: The 6000:1 Contrast Ratio makes this LCD, I have it setup in a farely bright room, and you can watch anything from ESPN to a dark movie (like The Cave) with the sun beaming into the room. Great for the PS2, or hookup your PC for gaming or just surfing the web, AWESOME! No glare screen, 178 degree viewing, AWESOME! Sound is good too, but had to hook it up with Bose. Easy setup. I have never in my life seen a better picture, your research stops here, Samsung is King of LCDs, Panasonic can have the plasma.

Cons: Ummm... My neighbors are jealous.

Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks! If you're looking for the best price and great customer service, look no more.

Pros: This TV is a great value and the colors and setup are nice

Cons: None i can think of unless you want to pay 800 more for the extra HDMI input

Other Thoughts: Looks great even when its turned off.

Pros: Bright clean picture with no dead pixils. Excellent newegg service and delivery. well worth the money.

Cons: The picture does ghost a tad in HDTV and video games. The LCD could use 1 more componet and hdmi.

Pros: No dead pixels, clarity, colors, and response time are all too spec. Game mode using HDMI is responsive and crisp with BF2, WOW and other PC games.

Cons: Remote control buttons require a heavy hand to work. LCD gets very warm and can heat up a small room in the winter.

Other Thoughts: 178% degree viewing is sweet. Anti Glare screen is durable and is very easy to maintain with just mild soap and water. My System: Vista Ultimate, EVGA NV-NForce 680i Mobo, Intel Conroe E6400 OC'd @2.4 using Zalman CNPS 9500, Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1066 DDR2 SLI Kit, SLI'd MSI NX 6800 GS's, 2-WD 250K SATA II, Raid 0 connected by HDMI to my SAMMY. Life is EGGY.

Pros: Very nice TV. Nice look, colors, contrast, display speed, resolution. LCD/1080p is definitely the way to go!


Lots of inputs: 2 hdmi, 2 component, 2 rca, 2 coax, 1 vga, plus additional audio inputs. Has a "game mode" for faster processing, as well as good picture adjustment controls.

Cons: PC can only be hooked up to the VGA port. (I tried connecting it to HDMI using a DVI-HDMI adapter, but I got very bad overscan. The manual states only the VGA input will work with a PC. Then again, it may be that my graphics card can't correctly output 1080p. 1920x1080/60hz works fine over VGA)

It does have a little bit of "boot" time to startup/shutodwn. It's fast enough not to be annoying, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: Cable TV, movies, and games are fantastic on this TV!

PC, on the other hand, doesn't work so well sitting 10 feet from the TV. Requires very good eyes, big fonts, or a closer chair :)

Pros: This unit performs according to specifications. Connected through HDMI, the PS3 games and blu-ray movies look absolutely crisp on the no-glare screen. Connected devices such as PCs, dvd players, cameras etc. are automatically detected as you press the SOURCE button. Secure online shopping, awesome deal on the PS3 bundle, fast shipping, easy TV setup, at NewEgg the customer is king.

Cons: The Samsung could use a third HDMI port. It would have been nice if Sony had supplied a HDMI cable with the PS3.

Other Thoughts: For the price and features, this is an excellent choice.

Pros: Full 1080p. Many connections. Side composite/s-video connections for easy access. Hidden speakers sound surprisingly good. Cabinet is polished and sleek.

Cons: Remote is a little shady. Standard definition is just that, standard. Price.

Other Thoughts: I bought this tv because, at the time, it came with a free ps3. Xbox 360 looks great on the TV over component cables with full 1080p. Although, you have to be seated a good 10 feet to get the best picture. I haven't gotten the HDMI cable for my PS3 yet so no comment there. Over all a great TV. I don't know if the higher price tag is justified or not. I'm glad to be able to have enough connections so that I don't have to unplug anything when i switch from xbox to ps3 to pc to dvd. I just plugged the optical out in to my surround sound and let the tv do all the switching. Works wonderfully. If you've got the dough. Go for this tv. The somewhat high contrast ratio makes darker games and movies look wonderful. Rivals that of plasma displays.
