5 out of 5 eggsawesome picture

Pros: Great shipping, company called me 5 days after ordering, met them at the house that afternoon, there was a ding on the box , so the driver opened it and everything was fine.

Easy set up, after running out and buying a wall hanger.

I bought the HDMI card , just push it in and you're ready to go.

Cons: none really, the hanger and HDMI card added to the overall cost

Other Thoughts: I have the DVR plugged into the HDMI , the Wii in the component, and the laptop on the S-video, everything works and looks great.
Even with prices dropping this was still a bargain.

5 out of 5 eggsWowzers

Pros: Awesome style - sleek design - awesome picture quality

Cons: None really - except, It does not come with a stand !

Other Thoughts: I bought this TV - I had a $1700 budget (Which I went a little above) After reading many many reviews and forums I purchased it... Ordered it monday - and it arrived Friday with no major dings in the box... Standard shipping... I was suprised by the shipping time with AIT..

Got the TV - Took out of box, ready to put it on my tv stand - OOOPS the box does not have a built-in stand.... So it is currently laying against the stand on the rug...

Amazed by the size and picture quality on HD channels - Much better than my 32" Phillips LCD tv, both in SD and HD

I will be MUCH happier once my stand arrives this week.

Pros: Order it on a friday and got it on the following monday!! Cant beat that! Thanks NEWEGG!

The box the plasma came in was well built, pretty thick carbroad. Has four hand slots for two poeple to carry. Notice while carry the box that the plasma inside would rock front to back, that the plasma floats, at least the top half. That seem odd to me, still there are very thick foam blocks to protect it. I have never bought anything where the device inside would float, but any how I inspected the box for damage and there as none so I signed for it.

It is a very clean and beautiful plasma tv. The picture rendition is phenominal! We have it mounted above the fireplace with simlar type bezel picture frames on both sides.

Cons: PC input does not have audio input.

Other Thoughts: I am very impressed with this plasma tv, it is my first purhcase of such items and I am glad I picked the right one thanks to the community feedbacks.

I am also glad I pruchased it from NEWEGG, eventhough they are not local but there service gives me that impression.

Make sure you have the correct cables.

5 out of 5 eggsLived up to my expectations.

Pros: Take all the pros mentioned by others and add the test of time. This unit looks awesome simply mounted on the wall with the power off. Switch it on and it only gets better.

Cons: None. I researched this purchase for the past six months and it lived up to it's claims.

Other Thoughts: Ordered on Monday and it was ready for delivery Thursday morning.

5 out of 5 eggsDefective Plasma ends in a Perfect Display

Pros: Crisp clear picture, very thin bezel, no extra junk built in (it's basically a monitor). All the connections I need for now; but will probably get an HDMI or DVI input card for it when we finally get a Blu-ray player.

Cons: When we finally got the screen mounted and turned on we found out it had one horizontal scanline that wouldn’t light. I called Panasonic and wasn’t too impressed with the tone in the woman’s voice on the other end of the phone, but I gave her what she asked for and she gave me the phone number of a TV repair shop. I then called the repair shop not expecting to get someone on a Sunday but the owner was there, took down my info and said he would order a scan-board Monday. I was much relived after talking to him because I didn’t have very high hopes with the Panasonic woman, but this guy sounded like he knew what he was doing and had plenty of experience. He called back Tuesday and told us the part had been delayed we asked him to come Thursday. Thursday he shows up and replaces the scan board; which too probably at least an hour because of all the talking we did. Low and behold the like was gone, it had worked and I was ecstatic. I guess this is a Pro by the end.

Other Thoughts: Thanks Panasonic for a no-nonsense plasma that looks awesome and some equally awesome repair technicians.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat you can do with this monitor

Pros: A component cable and some gold plated RCA to Bayonet (BNC) connectors really make the best picture (outside of digital interfaces)
Second best is the VGA - you can hook up a laptop and play a DVD, which will technically work like an upconversion to 1024x768 - regular DVDs look just great with this method.
Had to configure the cable box to only 1080i - anything lower caused annoying and unnecessary mode jumps, besides even native 480i looks better at 1080i

Cons: BNC connectors - ok it's professional, harks back to old school EIZO and other trinitron 21" monitors back in the day, but I'm sure 95% of users are using RCA converters.

Other Thoughts: The S-Video was the only cable I had for the first few days while waiting for the composite-BNC to come in the mail! - S-Video will only display a max of 480 lines so no HD there until I bought the RCA-BNC converters at RS.
This is my first HD set and I think I got it right first time.

I'm considering getting a TV tuner (HD capable) for the laptop doing the up conversion DVDs and using an amplified indoor antenna so I can also get over the air analogue HD broadcasts, need to be within 20 miles of the broadcast for the best results without a decent amplified or outdoor antenna though, Home depot now have a very nice line of Philips antennae.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Investment!

Pros: Great Design. I love the clean black finish. no buttons on the bezel itself. The picture is unbelievable. Sports look GREAT, my 360 and pc looks even better! i had to get the hdmi card, and it was defninitely worth it. The install was very straight forward. The extra parts like the stand and extra input cards are really affordable.

Cons: If your tv is on the pedestal and u have to install an extra input card, u have to take the plasma off the pedestal to fit a screw driver. other than that no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal!

Pros: Inexpensive
No room wasted on speakers, or a giant bezel. Fits in an area where only a 42-46" tv normally would.

Cons: Panasonic got really cheap on the inputs. Weird BNC connectors on video.
No anti-glare treatment.

Other Thoughts: This set didn't cost much more than a 32" LCD I purchased a year before. Having a small bezel meant being able to fit a much bigger screen. Lack of anti-glare treatment means that windows have to be curtained or light will reflect and almost drown out the picture. Incredibly bright pictures; Incredibly dark black levels unlike LCD's "gray" blacks. Had to fork out another $xxx for a dvi input and I'll have to do that again for a second dvi input.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Beutiful picture. Easy onscreen menus. Nice, sleek look. I researched my HDTV purchase for MONTHS, and I am very happy with my decision.

Cons: No major cons. However, it would be nice if the standard input modules were more in line with current consumer electronics. I realize it's supposed to be a professional monitor, but I get the impression that most people who buy it end up having to buy a module or two. The computer imput is nice but DVI would be better.

Other Thoughts: The HDMI module will only work in certain slots. As far as I know, there is no way to hook up 3 HDMI/DVI inputs, which is what I wanted.
