Pros: -4 HDMI 1.3c ports, with two being on the side panel
-2 HD Component Inputs
-The swivel base is rock-solid
-1920x1080P@60fps in PC mode
-The speakers are unbelievably awesome
-Auto aspect ratio on-the-fly when switching between sources or TV channels
-Remote works everything, even my PC
-Uses less electricity than my Bravia
-"NetCommand" works perfectly with every device
-"Game Mode" is great
-Fits non-VESA mounts
Cons: -Reel120 Motion produces a strong "Soap Opera Effect" when set to HIGH
-No good for watching sports or fast-motion content unless the Reel120 is turned off
-Finish is a dust magnet
-"Dynamic" mode creates a "cloudy" effect around the corners of the TV (Turning it off fixes this)
-Remote control look/feels cheap
-USB port is for firmware upgrades only
-Should have been $699 instead of $739
Other Thoughts: I bought this TV for my bedroom setup, and so far it meets and surpasses every expectation.
HDCP worked with my Samsung Blu-ray player, my PC, and my Magnavox Upconvert without any handshaking issues.
I would recommend this TV to friends (I already have), and I would buy again (I plan to).

Pros: 1080p, 120Hz, Swivel Base, and lots of connectors. I pass HDMI video and sound from my ASRock Nettop ION 330HT-BD to this TV, then pass the audio back out via optical cable to my home theater header. Video is crisp and clear after minor adjustments. I can't comment on the speakers since I have them turned off.
Also, the remote control is amazing as a stock item. It will control my header and even my computer (once either Boxee, MCE, or Hulu Desktop are running).
Cons: Before I had my HDMI cable, I couldn't figure out how to choose the DVI input. Turns out the TV just labels it as RGB Input.
Once I got my HDMI cable, I plugged it into HDMI 1. Apparently HDMI 1 is only for video data as I could not get the TV to recognize the connection without additional audio in. Resolved the issue by connecting to HDMI 2.
Other Thoughts: After watching and waiting on about 12 HDTV models leading up to the Superbowl, I finally bit the bullet and bought this Hitachi. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality I have received for the price. If you are looking for last year's technology at an amazing price, look no further!

Rating: 5/5GREAT TV FOR CHEAP
Pros: 1) In Home service repair 1 year parts and labor (some lower end TV have only 90 days on labor) For 699.00 TV Great Feature
2) Swivel Stand.
3) Picture quality, the Real120 is nifty feature but on high and medium seting my HD programimg looks like daytime CBS soap opera. You have to kind get use to it but then you will not want go back especialy with blue ray movies.
4) Sound is great (for the size of the speakers)
5)Light up remote
6) Location and amount of inputs
Cons: No internet :-) want to much for 699.00
Other Thoughts: This is a great buy from reputable company. Considering the quality, price and features provided and I cannot find better buy even in local walmart wit 20% CB

Pros: The picture is great, and there are a lot of settings so you can tune the picture to your liking. Many more customization options compared to my father's Sanyo.
The swivel feature is very nice. If I'm doing something in the kitchen I can easily turn the TV to get a better view.
Finding your input is a breeze. Input button brings up a list if inputs, all of which you can name, instead of making you cycle through them.
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. I read that LCD screen actually take some time to "break in" a bit, which is surprising because I can't imagine the picture getting much better.
Cons: As others have stated there is a little dark in the corners on an all white picture, but it's so minute it's barely worth mentioning.
Other Thoughts: To get the most out of the 120hz refresh rate, make sure you go into the settings and adjust 120 motion from 'low' to 'mid'. I found 'off' and 'low' basically make the rate seem like 60hz, and 'mid' is just right. 'High' is too much and makes the movements look weird at times. Of course this will depend also on your personal preference.

Rating: 5/5Unbeatable for the Price
Pros: Great Picture, excellent clarity, 120hz processor motion blur-less picture. Plenty of inputs easily adjustable. Unbeatable price.
Cons: Finish is difficult to clean, other than that absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: Great TV. I wasn't able to find another 42" 120hz 1080p from reputable manufacturer, $699.99 is a great deal.

Pros: I'm embarrased that I even considered purchasing another TV. Initially, I questioned my decision to purchase this one for 699.00 on newegg, when walmart had (what i thought to be) comprable LCD TV's for cheaper. I'm nearly speechless at how nice of a deal this was for the product, and now realize that I was not going to come close to getting a better LCD TV for the price. NewEgg really delivered!!!
Cons: I agree with the user before me who mentioned the issue with the shade in the corners, however you would be a fool to let something that minute prevent you from getting this TV. I find it impressive that the worst aspect about the TV that someone with an in-depth understanding and tech-level could dig up is the issue with the black in the corners (or lack thereof).
Other Thoughts: Highly recommended product from a very satisfied consumer.

Rating: 5/5Great TV for the price
Pros: 4 HDMI ports, plenty of other connections, 120Hz and a fast 4ms refresh makes this TV very hard to beat for the price. It also has a swivel stand which is an added plus. If you want 120Hz and you're on a budget then this is the TV for you.
Cons: It doesn't seem to be as black in the corners of the screen but it's not really something I notice much at all. No one else in my family has even noticed and they watch it much more than I do.
Other Thoughts: I already own a 40" Sony Bravia V5100 120Hz in my bedroom and my wife likes the Hitachi better. I'm not sure yet myself but I will say that I can't point to much the Sony does better. I do think the Sony is blacker in the corners of the screen but it's not much of a factor considering I paid quite a bit more for my Sony and it's 2" inches smaller.

Rating: 5/5Great Sleeper Deal
Pros: The best deal out there. Period. Picture quality amazing. True blacks and laser sharp image. 4 hdmi ports, 120hz, 1080p. Great menu controls. Considering another one for bedroom.
Cons: To get best performance you must update firmware. Motion modes for blue-ray can distort normal viewing from cable or satellite tv. You need to be a little tech savy to do the firmware update, and not rely on automatic modes.
